  • That's horse is a homosexual I'm sure of it.

  • I knew a horse that does that but if you pull her back she canters or trots or walks. if you get her to rack and you keep pushing her she goes faster and faster and faster i was never able to find out how fast she can go cuz the pony we ran with always went out of veiw and we came to the end of the road before i come open her up : / (it was a longggg freaking road to and the pony we raced was like 13.2hh and the rackin horse was about 16hh and all legs so it wasnt very hard to leave him behind.

  • It's not a racking horse, he's/she's an Icelandic.

  • I feel like getting trampled by a racking horse would be so much worse than getting trampled by a full-on galloping horse. There's no real logic behind this statement, I just would not like to be under those hooves.

  • that horse is so cute and fast =D

  • wwweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

  • Ich liebe Isis. Vor allem zeigt dieses video das sie auch was drauf haben und keine dicken kleinen ponys sind !

einfach toll, so will ich auch ma reiten

  • Incredible looking gait... looks like it has been speeded up, I assume this must come naturally to Icelandic ponies? i rode a pacing horse once, and it felt very alien, and ''side to side'' as opposed to a diagonal trot. The pony looks wonderful with his ''badass mane!''

  • @Oakleaf700 dont call it pony nuless you tryes i have rided many horses but the stregth of a icelandic is far superiour then the big horses

  • @icelandic29 I called him a ''pony'' because of his height..not strength, but if they are called ''horses'' that is fine by me! [In England a ''pony'' is 14.2hh and under, it has no distinction as to strength, simply tallness!

  • 0:50 It looks very cool at fast speed!!!!

  • they'll do anything to excape bit pain!! do it bitless and then i'll be impressed.

  • that horse has funky hair

  • that is soooo flippin fastttttt OMG!!!!!! ('0')

  • wow D:

  • @Sootblind

I thought the same thing. btw, nice to know you keep your username the same. :)

    -SadieMyBaby

  • He didn't look like he was enjoying it to me. Lots of head-tossing. My icey doesn't do that when she gaits.

  • This was what the Iselandic horse was born to do ^^ and it good at it!

  • wow, thats a posh pony

  • looks stoopid trotting like that, but it is really fast and seems to be enjoying its self

  • @gezzurhh Thats what racking horses do o.0

  • The horse enjoys it! As any horse enjoys to speed of course!

I have an older racinghorse gelding. If people are watching it is impossible to get him to dressage. He loves to give a show than! cheering will only make him go faster.

  • Iceland really has something to be proud of...their horses! They are amazing :D

  • Thats freakin awesome o.o Haha love it.

  • this is a wonderful example of what a horse can do. it doesn't even look like his front legs are touching ground they are moving so fast. Beautiful!

  • The father of our mare Hrafnkatla:)

  • wow i love the fro on the horse ! hahah ! also what the hell.. how would you move your legs that fast ! !

  • ...

i just wanted to leave a positively surprised comment, that there are no comments like "the poooor horse"... but then i looked closer... and found someone again who thinks to know everything better... its annoying guys! stop telling good riders strange things only because YOU wouldnt be able to carry this weight.

  • wow the guy was not even moving

  • lol look how fluffy his mane is!!!

  • Thank you god, that there´s a rider, who is not as heavy as the horse he is riding!!

  • live is life, nana nanana

I'ts the best horse I've ever seen.

  • ive ridden one of these before and they trully are incredible(: in a way, its like riding a couch cuz you dont move all that much when they go that fast!

  • I love that horse, I am amazed at the display of utter ignorance and the rubbish spouted by folk! There is no other breed of horse in Iceland, they have never been bred for kids to ride, they have only ever been bred for adults.

  • chuck norris just called. He wants his horse back

No, but i LOVE This Pony^^

  • @47:00 Bahahahahaa !! XD

  • Hole- E Shit.

  • OMGEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

  • omg at the end he's like so fasttttttttttttttt

  • TE HEE THE MANE XD

  • I can't find any words for it o.O

  • WHOA!!! OMG

  • God is he/she fast

  • krass so schnell hatte ich mir icht gedacht dass das geht !

  • Love you Johann, see you next year (:

  • Must be comfortable

  • Hvinur<3 the father of our mare Hrafnkatla^^

  • Jóhann and Hvinur are and were the best pair in the whole world! They just clicked completely together! Beautiful to watch :)

  • Like the way the he rides, his invivisble signals are admirable.

  • Awww, look at his little head bobbing around. <3

    Looks like he's having fun!

  • It must feel so odd sitting on their backs at that speed. I thought it felt odd sitting on a paso...

  • @swapmomma Rubbish! They do stay sound for life. I have 5! Have you ridden one, have you met one? They are big boned, tough and good weight-carriers. It is not cruel. It is a natural gait. My horse actually cannot trot - never has done, never will.

  • @swapmomma You don't sound like someone who knows these fine little horses. Perhaps you should get to know them ;). They aren't like regular horses, and its not the size of the rider that matters as much as his experience! Also, these paces come natural to Icelandic horses, unlike some other breeds that have unnatural gaits. If I let my horse go with long reins, she'll go at this speed without any encouragement because she likes it and wants to. And they'll let you know if they don't, seriously.

  • woooooow i would love to do that :D

  • woooooow

  • this looks so stupid :D but awesome :D

  • and Some people say horses are stupid.

    But

    Horses Are the best. (L)

  • Wow! that is amazing

  • I love icelandichorses <3

  • Wow!! How he didn't break gait was amazing! That looked so smooth!

  • Ridiculous, ...

  • i wanna go to iceland and just jump on a random horse :D

  • @kikiza123 Horses North has packages where you can almost do just that . . .

  • This is my all time favorite video! I love it....would love to own a mare like this to bred to my stallion....Pretty Boy Floyde

  • Damn what a speed

  • omg what a speed! *-* This horse probably has a built turbo! ;) Something i`ve never seen before - awesome! =)

  • omg thats so fast :o gorgeous.

  • Lovely example of the tolt at all speeds, well done. It's a pleasure to watch a horse that ENJOYS what he's doing.

  • @scorpiostinger65 What do you mean by that?

  • i love Icelandics horses<3 i have only 5,But so hwat ;D<3

  • @frejamussen12 only 5??? your very luycky :D I dont have a horse but i want one soo bad

  • roo la vitesse OH m-g!!

  • woooooow, great tolt the hole time. i want that my horse is walking like that :D

  • Einfach unglaublich, beeindruckend...

  • @MistyPonyIsLove icelandics are not sored, it's a natural gait enhanced without many of the "devices" used on breeds such as walking horses and saddlebreds. not all gaited horses are sored.

  • @sockses So those are not lifts on his front hooves?

  • @sgtkymee the quality of the video makes it hard to see, but they look like bell boots

  • I love Icelandic horses!!

  • wow nice flying pace !

  • Wow. I'm an eventer. I've never really been exposed to this type of riding, but this is incredible. It looks amazing(:

  • I wonder what is the maximum speed of these horses? Reach 35 miles?

  • WOOOW that horse has skills! i dont have tolt as a gait in my country but thats very impressive!

  • he´s just the best...:D

  • Sorry but 00:56 makes me laugh SO much XD

  • omfg :L

  • Wow thats the fastest trot I have ever saw in those speeds my horse would be gone cantering almost to a gallop lol.

  • not trot, tølt, a very different gait

  • Great Tolt !! I look it very often.. it's amazing :o

  • looks strange the way the horse moves. looks more like its doing fast marching.

  • what do you think about the peruvian paso horse?

  • aaahhhhhhhh look at his mane!!! thats ssoooo cute!!

  • weeeee!

  • when i was six i learned how to ride a horse and now i am 10. so my horse trots like thay (not the same speed) and the mytrainer cant make him run like a real horse lol

  • @korralkorral is it a gaited horse

  • The person below is wrong. Ponies are defined by being less than 14.2 hands. Therefore, the vast majority of Icelandics would be considered "ponies". The Icelandic is touted as a horse as a marketing ploy. Just looking at them, you can tell they are ponies. Racking horses, Standardbreds and some Tennessee walkers perform a true rack too, only they are full size horses (and a lot of fun, I might add!).

  • @oneblackhorse a ponny is classifed by its size breed and temperment

  • @Maltyness it's actually considered a horse rather than a pony.... ponies are defined by their legs being 1/2 the length of their bodies... and Icelandics (while holding a shorter height) have legs that are porportionate to their bodies. Hence, the "Icelandic Horse" ... though they are pretty stubborn...

  • look at that pony go o.o

  • @Maltyness its not a pony....

  • @Ihateginny I agree. I call mine a horse too!

  • bei9 dem schnellen hab ich die vorderbeine nichtmehr gesehenxD

  • Pretty amaziing !

    And cute horse (l)

  • Fuckk..:o

  • icelandic ponies are all born with his gait

  • Waw, what a dancer! This horse is amazing! Congratulations to having ridden such a wonderful performer! This must be a world champion?

  • It is a world champion =D

  • WOW ive havent really seen very much racking before, this looks almost unreal!!!! very very impressiveee wow!

  • Der IsLänder iis verdammT schneLL

  • wow this is a pretty fast horse. lol

  • We work with Standardbred race horses, could someone explain the difference between racking and singlefooting, is one gait more like a pace than a trot? Are Ex-Standardbred race horses used for this type of riding alot?

  • With racking. *Gosh I hope I'm right* The front legs go higher than in pacing I think. It looks like it. I'm not sure if standardbreds do this. They might be to fast for it.

  • I've never had the chance to ride an Icelandic, but I've ridden my share of speed racking horses, all of which were Tennessee Walkers.

  • Hvinur frá Holtsmula and the rider is: Jóhann R. Skúlason

  • the rider is funny, it's like he just sits and the horse is moving underneath him. Which is good, i know..

  • HAHA .. das sieht i-wie ziemlich witzig aus :D .. sieht ziemlich gefaked aus einfach unglaublich wie schnell er wird ..

    wunderschöner tölt!! & wunderschönde farbe!!

  • That wouod be soooo fun to go around those curves! lol

  • he has fluffy hair XD i likes it

  • Hvinur fra Holtsmula ! :D

  • agreed.

  • at least someone agrees with me. we know what a rackin horse is.

  • schöner tölt der tritt so schön unter

  • lol..... =)

  • Front legs remind me of humans running O.o

  • Almost like riding my pacer!

  • if i were that horse, then that rider would be on the ground, and i would be galloping full speed away from them!

  • Why?

  • I agree em

  • Maşallah subhanallah nekadar güzel rahvan gidiyor

  • poor horse, the reins are soooooooooooo tight

  • um not fast speed on the tolt

  • can someone tellm e where the fast is supposed to be? i have rode faster than that!

  • of course you have, but in tolt the horse moves its feet in the same way as in walk. that's why it's fantastic that they can move that fast.

  • shit i have, we had a horse (standardbred) that that redgistered 40. so i've been on much faster.

  • It's not about how fast it goes, its about how he is, the rithm, the bearing, how everything is in harmony. Can you see when the rider orders the horse to gain speed? I don't think so! Everything that horse and rider are doing is perfect. And by the way that's fast!!

  • you're crazy for hating the icelandic horses and your crazy for saying they're build for endurance. They're good in almost everything like endurance yes, butt also dressage and of course the many gates. Standardbreds aren't better in everything, they can't do so many gates and there's isn't any horse which is as allround as an icelandic. And you've probably never been in pace, cause I think that's the fastest gate excisting. So don't say anything about something you don't know anything about

  • Comment removed

  • I've been riding a long time myself as well, icelandics but also normal breeds. I like all breeds and i'm not gonna fight you here on youtube cause I think that's stupid. I have no idea about what I should be embarresd, nothing in my comment is made up. But whatever, I just think it's strange you say you 'hate' icelandic horses and that standardbreds are way better on anything, that's just nog true.

  • Comment removed

  • I't's ok. I agree everyone has their own opinion. But if you don''t have them around you, how can you dislike them? Of course there are faster horses, but it's not about the speed. It's just the gates, the movements and they have a great charakter:) And yes they're small;) But strong and cool minded!

But good luck with your horses, this story is closed
