@twillsmusic Christians and Jewish people are referred as people of the book in Quran. Kafir is an Arabic word which means one who rejects and translated into unbeliever and disbeliever. Infidel is an English word (I believe it derives from French "infidèle" or Latin "infidelis") which means one without faith. Muhammed did not put unbelievers or people of the book to die by sword simply because of their believes. You need to read more with an objective approach.

A person can pray all day and still go to Hell. Without a change of heart by repentance and forgiveness of sins, you cannot get a prayer answered by Jehovah God. Because of disobedience to God the Creator after admonishing Adam and Eve not to partake of the Tree of Good and Evil. God told them if they partook of the fruit of that Tree, they would surely die. They didn't die physically that day yet later, but they died spiritually. They were out of harmony with God through disobedience. He had to remove them out of the Garden of Eden unless they would by chance eat of the Tree of Life and live forever in a sinful state.

If this woman had really known that Jesus was the Son of God as a Catholic, she would never have converted to Islam as they don't believe Jesus was divine. Why would Catholics pray to statures of dead people as this woman said? Saints can't answer prayer, only Jesus is the mediator between God and man. No wonder she changed religion. it doesnt matter if the bible translations have changed it is stil more historically reliable than the quran. any non bias scholar will adhear to that. there is no historical proof that the qurans claims about jesus are real. where has the historical evidence is in favour of christianity. jesus dying on the cross is known to be one of historys most certain facts agreed to by even athiest scholars as the most sure thing about history. but the quran says he didnt die on a cross.
There are around 5000 vertions of bibles and every different church have different number of bibel (e.g. Orthdox have different numbers of books comparing to catholic)
And even more confusing that there is no two bible on earth (unless same edition of same aurther) which does not conflict each other.

@twillsmusic Christians and Jewish people are referred as people of the book in Quran. Kafir is an Arabic word which means one who rejects and translated into unbeliever and disbeliever. Infidel is an English word (I believe it derives from French "infidèle" or Latin "infidelis") which means one without faith. Muhammed did not put unbelievers or people of the book to die by sword simply because of their believes. You need to read more with an objective approach.

She did not even explain why she converted to islam other than saying (not explaining) that the world is becoming more secular and about having a direct relationship with God. I have a hard time believing that she is a professor, or perhaps not a very good professor. For one, the Bible already gave the warning that the world would become secular...again...as it was in the Time of kind David and such. What is stated in the Quran is the teaching about the seven heavens above the earth, that is based on the beliefs of the ancient Greeks but disproven centuries ago by Christian astronomers.

A person can pray all day and still go to Hell. Without a change of heart by repentance and forgiveness of sins, you cannot get a prayer answered by Jehovah God. Praying to statues is against the word of God, that is paganism. They represent dead people who also prayed to statues. She didn't better her life a bit by becoming a Muslim. Yes, there are all kinds of religious myths, and each one has some god associated with it, but the Hebrew Bible has been authenticated as one of the oldest manuscripts there is. Moses, wrote the first five books and he was not a corrupt man, but wrote what Jehovah God inspired him to write. Jesus never wrote the Bible. His followers were His historians. Your unholy book was written about 300 years after Jesus died and no one can swear to its authenticity. Muhammad was a fake.

@snaforfun we are all born with the sin nature through Adam. We would never have died had he not sinned. You can take a small child and if he has done something his parents have told him not to do such as not to bother with something or it may break, yet when the parent is not looking and the glass breaks. If you are not in the room at the time, that child will tell you he did not break it even though they did, that child will lie to you.That is the sin nature inherited from Adam.

Because of disobedience to God the Creator after admonishing Adam and Eve not to partake of the Tree of Good and Evil. God told them if they partook of the fruit of that Tree, they would surely die. They didn't die physically that day yet later, but they died spiritually. They were out of harmony with God through disobedience. He had to remove them out of the Garden of Eden unless they would by chance eat of the Tree of Life and live forever in a sinful state.

There was a tree called the Tree of Life and the reason God had Adam and Eve removed from the garden was to keep them from eating from this tree of life. Yes, God forgave them but they were not allowed to live in the Garden of Eden any longer.

Adam's nature changed from being without sin when he was first created to being a sinner, and we inherited his nature to sin. Everyone is born with the sin nature and the only way we can become righteous before God is to accept the atoning sinless blood of Jesus Christ from His Crucifixion on that old rugged Cross. One day you will understand..Judgement Day! I hope it is before then.

I fully agree we are guilty of our own sins and it's those sins that separate us from God. We all have inherited Adam's sin nature and Only through and by the atoning blood of Jesus the Son of God which was God's Sacrificial Lamb, without spot or blemish, born of a virgin, died on an old rugged cross and arose again on the third day after His crucifixion. He then as High Priest took His blood and applied it to the Mercy Seat in the Holy of Holies. SINLESS BLOOD!

If this woman had really known that Jesus was the Son of God as a Catholic, she would never have converted to Islam as they don't believe Jesus was divine. Why would Catholics pray to statures of dead people as this woman said? Saints can't answer prayer, only Jesus is the mediator between God and man. No wonder she changed religion. She didn't better herself at all by doing so. I hope she truly finds salvation in Jesus and leaves the Islam faith.

But you have to look at the gospels as they were purposed to be read as biographies. like if its possible to believe particles can collide and create a systematic ordered universe with intelligent life then anything is possible. watch the case for Jesus by lee strobel. he was an atheist and he talks about the research he did into Christianity while he was an atheist.

If no one ever recorded Jesus casting a spell at a tree, then how do you know it was recorded? and if it wasn't recorded how could you bring it up? 2) People did write about him during the time he lived, those people were his disciples who lived with him. they also died to defend their testimony

it doesnt matter if the bible translations have changed it is stil more historically reliable than the quran. any non bias scholar will adhear to that. there is no historical proof that the qurans claims about jesus are real. where has the historical evidence is in favour of christianity. jesus dying on the cross is known to be one of historys most certain facts agreed to by even athiest scholars as the most sure thing about history. but the quran says he didnt die on a cross.

There are around 5000 vertions of bibles and every different church have different number of bibel (e.g. Orthdox have different numbers of books comparing to catholic)
And even more confusing that there is no two bible on earth (unless same edition of same aurther) which does not conflict each other.
So my friend reliability of bible is very low if there is any at all.

And He never claim to GOD. He always claim to be messenger of God.
His teaching was monotheism, unlike current Christians Polytheists.
His theachings was about ALLAH (SWT), unlike current christians who's theachings are about Jesus(PBUH) as devine...which never claimed by Him.
