@CambridgeHeights Steve singlehandedly popularized the USB port found in every Windows PC made today, that simplified connecting peripherals to our computers. He singlehandedly thought up the touchscreen cellphone, that every other smartphone maker now uses. Those contributions, by themselves, would make most people legends. Anyone who says he didn't do the world any favors is ignorant.

@mikemikeb87 Those technologies were already invented long before Jobs 'popularized' them. The reason he was one of the first to use these technologies is because he was able to charge so much for his products to the the cult-like nature of his business. Technology would actually be better off had Apple never existed. They turned technology into a fad like clothing companies did with clothes.

I had a good cry when I first learned the news about an hour before this was shot. When we lose people who we look up to I'd rather remember them with a smile on my face. Why? Because their lives brought great joy to my life, not great sadness.

@MrAndroidGeek We all deal with death differently... some of us focus on the sadness, others smile and remember the good times. Given that Robert is talking about his memories and his experiences, he's probably smiling because he remembers the good times. Again, that's just my thought... and maybe that's something we should all do... Smile and remember the good times, I'm not a iFanboy... but I respect what Jobs did, and I remember sitting down to an Apple ][ myself and thinking about the world.
