I am Jewish and a Kohen, so I am descendant of high priests, most people mistake me for greek or spanish for some reason, but I think it's safe to assume that Jews are indigenous to northern Africa and the middle east. The genetics are similar to everyone else in the area. As for "Palestinians", i don't think they are related to Canaanites, it's possible some were Jews at one point that converted, but many are likely left over from Saladins military during the crusades.
