I think it is beautiful. I would not have the patience to do that on my hair but more power to you lol. You have thick beautiful hair. So some styles will look wig-ish but you know it's real lol. I have the some experience sometimes. Oh and that style should easily last you 2 weeks.

You did a good job. Next time you can use the same rollers but roll larger sections at a time. You'll still get a tight curl, but a lil less uniform. Also, you can roll your hair while damp not wet. I use Cantu leave in conditoner on damp hair, roll larger sections on small flexi rods and it dries in no time. I dont even have to sit under the dryer if i dont want to.  btw i have very thick coarse bra strap length hair-relaxed. I do those sets while im stretching usu 4-5 months at a time.

I would suggest using that is a little larger...like you I am not a fan of the "spiral" curl look. But I also believe you did a great set... Give it another try and see how you like it.

It's different from what you are used to but sometimes it's fun to change it up. It looks great! I agree with you on the time it took though. The last time I did a straw-set type style was when I was "transitioning" (mine was short lived haha!). I loved the outcome but it took way too long. It's been over 2 yrs since I've done that. Lol!

I like that you switched your style, I think if you don't like the uniformity of the curls add some larger ones in the front and smaller to the back or larger on the top and smaller on the bottom. But It doesn't look wiggy to me I think it is gorg. Gonna try these when I get the patience.
