  • George Harrison is Love

  • george harrison passed not forgotten.

  • I first herd this Christmasday last year after getting the album as a present. I had never herd a song off the album before and when this track came on I just sat there and absorbed every lyric, but the lyric that just spoke to me was "We were talking-about the love that's gone so cold and the people who gain the world and lose their soul" after hearing that album and that song ever since I have made a Massive effort to tern my life around and just LOVE more! and have felt an inner peace for it.

  • I just had a religous experience.

  • I'm weeping....

  • My feet are tingleing and i am teering up. Thank you george.

  • this makes my day :D

  • Is it really Ge'orge , damn '',' thanks man'

  • Happy Birthday George♥ You inspire so many people with EVERYTHING you do.

  • happy birthday georgie <3

  • This song had to be ( too ) ,....

  • @zvilla91 One of my favorite quotes is by C. S. Lewis "I believe in Christianity as I believe that the sun has risen, not only because I see it but by it I see everything else." beautiful and true :)

  • @purplemanatee12 I respect your belief, and I do myself believe that Christianity, as with many other religions, is based in truth. I think that the creators of the world's religions had similar inspiration, but different methods of relaying their ideas to the common folk. Along the line, the teachings of a lot of these religions have been skewed by self-serving, ego-maniacal tyrants who seek wealth and power. It is my belief, and I fully accept that I could be wrong, that the truth lies...

  • @purplemanatee12 ...(cont.) in the gray area somewhere. I believe that the force of nature can't be characterized in human terms, because it is beyond the physical world. I believe that we, and by we I mean life in general, are all an extension of this force. We are all one being, in the broadest, most infinite sense of the word. I am as certain of this as I possibly can be. That aside, I would never dream of telling you that what you believe is absolutely wrong. Keep on living, keep on loving.

  • @zvilla91 I can't agree with you on that completely. You're right that we certainly cannot comprehend the universe, but it's not about that. What I do know is that I have a God who loves me and He CAN comprehend it because He made it. Of that I am completely certain and no one will ever convince me otherwise. If everyone knew that, then everything would be different

  • This song loses like 98% of its meaning without the laughter at the end.

  • You know it's genius when a British band is making songs influenced by indian musical culture.

  • I love the transition from this to "When I'm 64" on the album, it's beautiful to see them switch up their style.

  • The Beatles helped me to become an enlightened thinker and question everything. My world view and perception of everything has changed because of them .. and a few tokes of marijuana of course.

  • you can never replace someone like George Harrison.someone could try to act like him, but he himself is the one and only original George Harrison

  • es rock psicodelico?

  • 19 people didnt flow on in life

  • am i hight or just lighter?

  • Whats with all the nostalgia? Love is eternal. It's funny how people think they need to point out how shallow and regressive modern culture is or how the Beatles were far more relevant than anything around today. Everybody knows that intrinsically but has a lot of distractions because modern fear culture is fed to our collective consciousness without our consent, people who fight it are it's servants in the long run cos fear it is exactly what it feeds on.

  • Brilliant song, it just doesn't fit with the rest of the album. Absolutely brilliant song though, and the album is one of the best.

  • @lankyj91 i dont think a single song on sgt pepper fits with another, yet they still work together. to me thats one of the reasons why the albums so brilliant

  • @8down10 I see where you're coming from. I guess it's down to ones own opinion, and i respect yours. Enjoy it as you see it (Y)

  • This music just give me the chills. It's so espiritual, and makes us dive inside ourselves. It's awesome. *-*

  • This song is just so damn mind blowing

  • This + rainy mood.com = best song in the world

  • are there only 5 real people in album cover?

  • lol my sister wants to meditate to this song but she is epicly failing cause she is squarming around on the floor at the moment and she doesnt know im telling everyone now ha! she is now moving here hands in a weird way and moving her neck FAIL!!!!

  • Man , Lennon sounds like Stewie on this song ...

  • @kevindenney1996 It's George Harrison and no.

  • @kevindenney1996 Is u stup? That's the late great George Harrison!

  • for 20 years these guys made every emotion every music every stop and start...ii still draw back in appreciation..lucky these boys got together.....lol..ya think ??**)&)*& ....

  • I don't need to get high, I was born tripping, if I pop acid I go normal then when you come down I go back to tripping, gr8 album awesome band, with a bit of bhakti you can change the whole world, they did. What a brilliant job. Haribol George.

  • I had to create an account so that I could leave a comment here. This is about as close as it gets to religion for me. The tranquility of the sitar sets the mood perfectly, and the words bathe my soul in truth. This song fills me with a level of understanding and peace that I have never felt from any other song to which I have listened. If you're reading this right now: I may not know you, I may never meet you, but understand that I love you. From the greatest depths of my heart, I love you.

  • @zvilla91

That's great if it's true... but some people just adopt that way of thinking as a style... not saying that's what you're doing, but i don't really know

  • @mdilla11 I understand, man. A lot of people out there aim to impress and seek attention, rather than seeking knowledge and understanding. Your skepticism is well warranted. All I can say is that I really do love you, and I hope, for your sake, that you can find that love within yourself. This thing we call existence is far too vast and complex for us to fully comprehend. Hell, those words don't do its immensity justice. Love is all we really have while we walk through this life.

  • @zvilla91

Maybe... I'm not sure if existence is too complex for us to comprehend... but maybe

  • @zvilla91 I signed into my account just to comment. I love you too and I totally understand your feelings for this song.

  • @zvilla91 i love you too brother.

  • @zvilla91 blimey !! put the kettle on,i'll skin up

  • @zvilla91 I love you too :)

  • @zvilla91 you should look into Self Realization Fellowship, the Master Paramahansa Yogananda is the founder , his Guru Swami Sri Yukteswar is the one pictured very top left, only his head is showing, these two men influenced the beatles greatly

  • @zvilla91

Whatever you were on when you wrote this, I want some.

  • @zvilla91 Beautiful...thank you for spreading the love and truth. I love you too :)

  • @zvilla91 hahahahaha.

  • @zvilla91 Reading your comment warmed my soul. So smiling right now. Thank you. I sincerely love you too. The Divine within Me honors the Divine in You. We are One.

  • @zvilla91 Thank you. ditto.

  • @zvilla91 we are all one in love

  • What a beautiful lyric.

  • 18 guys are retarded

  • when i hear this song i wanna get high and play sitar on the woodstock festivale!

  • got high, sat back and listened to this on noise cancelling head phones...

I was in euphoric heaven for 5 whole minutes :)

  • x1000000000 times better than Love version.

  • Ah, this song elevates my soul.

  • My favorite Beatles song, love that sitar.

  • 18 people are "one of them"

  • seeing all of these loving comments from thought provoking people has really put my mind at ease. Looks like I'm not alone.

  • Too bad the end of the song is cut out.

  • It's a shame this isn't one of the better known songs, it's one of my favourites.

  • im 15 years old ..thanks to this song i see the world in a diffrent way...and now i know that life has a meaning

  • @98bigbutt Paul IS the beatles, how can he be boring if he's the reason why The Beatles were so successful? Ugh learn your shit

  • nobody really wants the truth, for the truth is we all lie.

  • If you need drugs to enjoy beautiful honest music, you are lost, and need to read the lyrics to this song.

  • Paul and Ringo are the boring Beatles and the best ones are dead.

  • @98bigbutt Get out.

  • @Valientlink,It's true.

  • @98bigbutt It's an opinion.

  • @Valientlink,No that's the reality.

  • @98bigbutt Paul is responsible for some of the best songs. Paul and Lennon were generally the two who wrote the songs.

  • shrooms made beautiful music

  • @ketchups Nope. The Beatles did. It's not like monkeys and typewriters. It's not like you just get high enough and Sgt. Pepper just comes out of you.

  • Holy crap, this song is good.

  • o_o

  • Beatles kick asses in all the things who they do

  • Ok does anybody really understand the meaning of this song? It is about seeing behind the real life that we all think is so real. It's all bullshit. Nothing is real it is all an illusion. REALIZE THAT! The Beatles did.

  • @CrackerGrahame It is real. I think therefore I am.

  • @CrackerGrahame

With respect, friend, are you a Hindu or a Buddhist? I know that the more Eastern faiths believe that this life is but a passing thought, and that physicality is an illusion which is our responsibility to free ourselves from. I like the thought of that despite the fact that I'm a Christian. It's liberating for us to believe that there is a higher plane of existence which we have yet to reach. The Eastern faiths call it Nirvana, I call it Heaven, but in the end, it means freedom.

  • George Harrison & Ravi Shankar (no smoking...)

  • "When you've seen beyond yourself - then you may find, peace of mind, is waiting there.."

  • All modern bands should be made to listen to Sgt. Pepper as something to aspire to

  • @dontheedthecallup for at least 8 weeks . It would redefine real necesssity

  • sixteeen people hiding themselves behind a wall of illusion

  • Best song in the world, period.

  • @ArtimasStr got that right, fucker!

  • took acid to this, intense, amazing, like the song was living and breathing and opening itself like those russian dolls to reveal loads of layers like conciousness itself, then when im 64 came on

  • @oeyeyea haha well said mate.

  • @oeyeyea What a buzz kill

  • @fwmacros it was hilarious:)

  • We were toking...

  • "When you've seen beyond yourself-then you may find peace of mind is waiting there."

So much truth in this song.

  • such an amazin song

  • @MrSitar333 So unique for its time. My fave album is Pepper and I think between the artwork and this song and A Day In The Life - no album would ever be the same. That was 1970. ( Heard it at a mates house)

  • My favourite Beatles song

  • i only dislike this song when i have to hit replay

  • R.I.P. George Harrison(1943-2001)

  • @samrtnr97 Gone ten years, a truly good-hearted person! May he Rest In Peace!

  • @samrtnr97 MASSIVE FAGGOT HE WAS.

  • @LegendBaal George was not gay, neither a cigarette (if you're british like me so you have the different meaning) so what are you on about?

  • @LegendBaal ahh get a life you hater!

  • @thewhofan911 MAD LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL

  • @LegendBaal Dude, chill. Feel the love :)

  • "Life flows on within you and without you" Mr. Harrison, thank you for all your wonderful music, lyrics, and insight into this thing we call life.

  • May I recommend the book 'A Pop Revolution, the transatlantic music scene 1965 to 1969'. The author is a big fan of this track.

  • Definitely in the top 3 best Beatle songs ever. First time I heard it I fell in love with it but can't you say that about every song from The Beatles? I say so.

  • 10 years without you.. ;(

  • With our love, we could save the world... if they only knew.

Try to realize it's all within yourself, no one else can make you change...

And to see you're really only very small,

And life flows on within you and without you...

Truer lyrics were never sung. What a wise, wise soul.

Rest in peace, George. I know your beautiful soul is gracing a part of the Universe with its radiant light.

  • @magicalmysterygirl I agree completely.... His passion for India and philosophy is so admirable. These lyrics are beautiful. He was beautiful. I wish I would have had a chance to at least see him in concert.

    Rest in peace, George.

  • RIP George.....

  • wooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

  • GREAT FING SONG! damn, now I understand it all =D

  • 16 persone si sono bevute il cervello

  • imonshrooms...

  • mostly because john Lennon did so much LSD

  • @tictacs808 The first time they took LSD was an accident. John and George were driving with their wives when they met up with the Wicked Dentist, Who offered them coffee, just laced with LSD. Oblivious of this fact, they felt a bit funny halfway through and continued driving. Something humorous, was in the middle of the driving to a club, they felt funny, and George's wife told them to jump out and play football with her, but never left the car. Well, they all had their fair share of drugs. XD

  • i read a rolling stones article today explain why and how this song came to be.it was amazing.

  • @tictacs808 Also, another interesting fact you may enjoy is that Tomorrow Never Knows was intended to give John the same effect of LSD, but he was singing that song, this one is George Harrison's, not John's.

  • word

  • Compare this to the narcissistic, self-referential crap being generated by today's pop musicians.

  • @jlangevin65 - bands these days can't even hold the toilet paper for this kind of talent

  • Yea the sitar is cool. But the tablas rule in this track.

  • This song is about Awareness. The end is cut off which the point of the song.

  • This song is amazing sober or not. But I have to admit when I listen to this song while I'm high there are just no words to explain how lovely it is...

  • @KILLmeKISSyou nobody cares

  • There's no other song like it.

    Regrettably.

  • i keep hitting the see all button but it doesnt work......yet

  • One of my fav Beatles and Georges songs < pure magnificense !!!!!!!

  • Perhaps my favorite Beatles tune.

  • Why do people assume you have to be stoned to enjoy music like this? This is beautiful in its own right, without the aid of drugs.

  • This is so beautiful. I want this for my funeral.

  • i really fancy some curry right now

  • One of George's finest achievements with the Beatles...

  • @beantownbig3 youre crazy my friend. Dont Bother Me, If I Needed Someone, Taxman...all great George songs.

  • @codygreaver92 you seem to be mistaken. i never said that George had only one great song when he was with The Beatles. Obviously he had more than one great composition with the band.

  • @beantownbig3 Haha sorry No offense. I just think George is super under rated and people should like his stuff more.

  • @codygreaver92 it's all good :)

  • @codygreaver92 george is my favourite beatle. People never understand why.

  • @infinityx33 Yeah I know, It aways blows my mind. People never give George credit for things, everyone knows Paul, John, and Ringo. I love John and Pauls songs, but I think George is a better at writting about emotional things, like the songs All Things Must Pass.

  • GO GEORGE!!!!

  • a million times better than any song john has ever written for the beatles.

  • @marianainbar I agree, I think George's talent was surpressed by Lennon/Mcartney.

  • @bipbipandthebippers There's an interview in which he explains he was the first to want to leave the Beatles, because it would be necessary release 100 Beatles albums to in order to record all the material he already had composed in the late 60s.

  • some times you need to give into temptation, it makes you realize that there is more to life than just the physical world

  • oh fuck man im trippin balls here...

  • I actually dont understand how someone can dislike this song.
