  • OMFG this is AMAZING x3

  • one word... FANTASTIC!!!

  • their two-counts in this video are so clean!

  • Did anyone else notice that half of Olga's throws were a half throw off?

  • @5JSINAROW

"Half of Olga's throws were a half throw off"? What? The first one I noticed was on 8 club back-to-back passing, the next one I noticed was on the kick-up from 8 to 9 club passing.

  • @Galchenko I meant in the harder patterns. In the regular 6 clubs I saw nothing. And I didn't mean half of the throws, there were definitely a lot less but enough for a normal juggler to notice. Sorry for the confusion.

  • @5JSINAROW

    I see. No problem.

  • i love all the under catches vova makes in this video. an acttive catcher, i like that.

  • Partner juggling is so sick.

  • i wish i was Vova!!!

  • MAN thats really sick :O

  • is vova good with computers?

  • "is vova good with computers?"

    Yes, very good.

  • isnt that music dj lawless???

  • "isnt that music dj lawless?"

    Why is that music lawless?

  • no its a guy. who makes music. he is a dj and his name is dj lawless

  • Well, this music was made by Vova using eJay3 software as far as I remember.

  • i think i met both at ejc in svendbork denmark 2003... olga is the sickest combat juggler ive seen ever :D...

  • "i think i met both at ejc in svendbork denmark 2003..."

    Yes, they have been there.

  • They are truly amazing. If you, Gavalenko ever read this comment, tell me where they are today. Olga quit, right? What happened to her? Sorry, but I'm very curious!=)

    tanks!

  • "... where they are today."

They both live in California, go to the Universities, and Vova also works part time.

    "Olga quit, right?"

Yes, but she will have to start practicing again, because she promised to participate in the WJF 2008 in December.

    "What happened to her?"

She is fine, learning, hiking, dancing ...

    "Sorry, but I'm very curious!=)"

    No problem.

  • I've seen a lot of Vova's videos, and i see that he and Olga are very active. Do they perform in street? :)

  • "Do they perform in street?"

No. Vova used to do street performing in summer 2006, but now he doesn't.

  • How'd he pick it up with his foot? Was he not wearing shoes or was it like magnet?

  • "How'd he pick it up with his foot?"

    Practice. :-)

    "Was he not wearing shoes..."

He was wearing some kind of light shoes in this performance, but he can kick-up a club wearing any shoes.

    "...or was it like magnet?"

No any magnets or any other adjustments.

  • I don't know about anybody bing gay, or acting in "an unnecessarily provocative manner," but these two sure know how to juggle.

  • Truly talented kids. I've seen a few jugglers better than these kids.. and they're rare and 40, where as these kids are about a a fourth of that. But to be completely honest, they do need to learn some basic circus entertainment.. if you know what I mean. I've seen some not very strong jugglers who've entertained me purely because of their comedic physical moves. But Olga and Vova have a bright future ahead of them, without a doubt. =D

  • "But to be completely honest, they do need to learn some basic circus entertainment..."

Circus entertainment? But they are not going to work in any circus.

"But Olga and Vova have a bright future ahead of them, without a doubt."

This video was taped in 2002 if you didn't notice it. Since then Olga had time to give up juggling and Vova became the great juggler. Check out my other videos or VovaGalchenko's videos.

  • Hhaa, I didn't really mean circus entertainment.. I couldn't find a better word.. and i think I was to stunned by their juggling to look at the posting date. :)

  • Yhats great news if he has stopped using that as its is truly un called for he can use so many other expressions to put across his point. I am happy you understand my point now after all this comment box discussions.

I wish Vova all the best

  • nice show pitty that Vova thinks all this is as he said in an interview "Gay".

I think he is great and his sister pitty she has stopped they worked really well as a double act. but maybe needs to get off his high horse. btw he is not a kid anymore

  • "pitty that Vova thinks all this is as he said in an interview "Gay"."

Vova never said "all this is gay".

"but maybe needs to get off his high horse."

    What do you mean?

"btw he is not a kid anymore"

Sure, he is 20 now. Why did you say that?

  • he did say that and its on loads of interviews he did infact its in bold and as part of a sub headline. u should look it up.

secondly i mention about the fact his is not a kid anymore because i don't want to come across as being harsh to a child as seen on this video. His talent is amazing just maybe he needs a decent PR manager as he does not deal with the media very well i guess.

Great juggler tho hats off to the guy

  • "he did say that and its on loads of interviews he did infact its in bold and as part of a sub headline."

I said Vova never said "all this is gay". Saying "all that" you meant the content of this video. If you claim he said that then show me where he did.

"i mention about the fact his is not a kid anymore because i don't want to come across as being harsh to a child as seen on this video."

    I see.

What about "maybe needs to get off his high horse"?

  • Nothing that comes off as circusy, French or 'gay,' as he puts it. this is the extract take from the New York Times, i mean sexuality has nothing to do with anything he mentions just shows how narrow-minded some people are. High horse i said that in ragards to that comment as an element of i am to good for that came across which i think is terrible. I mean look at his video above its everything he says he hates.

are u his uncle or something but u sound terribly defiensive

  • I believe you are referring to this sentence: "When Vova Galchenko juggles, he often dresses in a red tank top and black track pants — no clown suit, no mime makeup, nothing that comes off as circusy, French

or 'gay,' as he puts it."

Where do you see him saying that he hates all this?

"...just shows how narrow-minded some people are."

What some people? You mean Vova?

  • "High horse i said that in ragards to that comment as an element of i am to good for that..."

Where do you see "I am too good" attitude? The fact Vova doesn't like dressing like a clown, putting make-up on his face makes him too arrogant?

"I mean look at his video above its everything he says he hates."

Vova never said he hates circus, gays, clowns, etc. What specifically in this video do you think he hates?

"are u his uncle or something..."

    I am his father.

  • "...u sound terribly defiensive"

I don't think so. I just express my point of view.

  • just to clarifiy, u are Vova is being disrespectful by using the world gay as if it was a "look" gay is a sexuality !!!! You don't look gay or dress gay. that is an insult thats the point i am trying to put across. you should read carefully what you write dude cause even tho i understand why ur so defensive u need to take into account peoples opinions.

  • "just to clarifiy, u are Vova is being disrespectful by using the world gay..."

U are Vova? I am not Vova. You mean "Why is Vova being disrespectful by using the world gay"? If I understand your question right, then here is how Vova explained it for one guy:

    See the next comment.

  • Vova: "Contemporary circus is nowadays filled with men acting in an unnecessarily provocative manner. I don't know if they're gay or not, of course I'm guilty of a hasty generalization. However, hasty generalizations are common, we all make them. Being Russian, I'm often expected to be an alcoholic communist. I don't see a reason to get upset at that. Yet people seem to be overly sensitive to generalizations regarding sexual orientations and race..."

    See next comment.

  • Vova: "...Maybe that's a reason why I shouldn't make hasty generalizations like that. If I offended you, or anyone else, I'm sorry, it certainly wasn't my intention."

  • "that is an insult thats the point i am trying to put across."

Sorry, I didn't understand that. I am not native speaker, plus you don't answer my qualifying questions.

"you should read carefully what you write..."

So what specifically I should read carefully? I wrote some nonsense or what?

  • "u need to take into account peoples opinions."

I am trying, but I just had troubles with understanding your opinion. If your opinion is that Vova is being disrespectful by using the world gay, then I agree with you. Vova used to use the term "gay" to mean anything that was "dumb" or "stupid". I think now he has stopped doing that.

  • thats a completely diffrent type of wow

  • I don't think these two need cirque du soleil. Pretty unbelievable stuff. Bravo!

  • and your are his father?

  • "and your are his father?"

    Yes, I am their father.

  • living in the "cirque du soleil"?

  • "living in the "cirque du soleil"?"

What do you mean? Vova and Olga have nothing to do with Cirque du Soleil.

  • one word.... WOW

  • I gave them a standing ovation for that one I was home alone watching on my computer!! Took me 2 years of HARD focused work to learn 5 balls. At least I know what is like to be average.

Thanks for sharing all your hard work with the rest of the world! Aloha

  • how much did you practce coz two years is an extreamly long time!?

  • 1/2 to 1&1/2 hour a day everyday for 2 years, that was just on basic 5 ball. Could get 15 or 20 catches after a 3 or 4 months, but it was 2 years before I could get 120-150 catches, which is what feel is really being in control. Vova goes 3:30 here straight without a drop!

  • yeah well discaplined to keep at it

  • Mr. Galchenko,

Did you introduce your children to juggling and performing, for did they develop an interest on their own?

  • "or"

  • Vova was introduced to juggling at the circus school. I introduced Olga to juggling. As for performing Vova never had much interest in performing. Olga developed her interest in performing on her own.

  • How many time u two praticed?

    Favorited nice one..

  • "How many time u two praticed?"

What do you mean? They used to practiced every day for 2-3 hours.

  • thank you for commenting galchenko your the best person ever on youtube, you alwasy reply to every question anyone asks, thnx again

  • hey i watched loads and loads of your videos, and i only just noticed how good looking olga is, shes really pretty and i never noticed before. lol Go vova and olga !!!

  • Hey galchenko, i'm 17 years old and have been juggling for around 5 months now, i can juggle 4 balls (working on 5) and 3 clubs (working on 4), do you think its good to say its only been 5 months? because everyone thinks so, and i can do quite a few tricks to.

and you have probably had this question asked many many time, but do you have a video of you juggling? because i see vova and olga juggle but not you.

    thnx

  • "do you think its good to say its only been 5 months?"

I don't know. It depends on how much you practice everyday. And I am not expert in juggling.

"do you have a video of you juggling?"

Well, you can find it on Vova and Olga's old site (link is in my profile). I am not a juggler, so it is only 3 ball stealing and 6 ball passing with Vova in 1997.

  • What is their record for club passing kick ups? 8 passing to 9 passing? 9 to 10?

  • "What is their record for club passing kick ups?"

You can see 9 to 10 club passing by a kick-up in my video "In 4 years at the same place" at the very beginning. Also on their old site you can find the videos of Vova and Olga doing simultaneous kick-ups from 8 to 10 club passing, 11 club passing flash by the kick-up, and from 8 to 9 club passing by the long kick-up (when Vova kicks the club to Olga).

  • They are sooo good. That's really solid passing!

It's just a pity some of the audience decided to clap out of time all the way through. What made them think that was a good idea?

  • Sweet!

  • your look the cirque du soleil whit vova and olga?

  • "your look the cirque du soleil whit vova and olga?"

Sorry, I didn't understand your question.

  • hi Vova and Olga. I am from Turkey and I started juggling a month ago to improve my skills. Then I visit youtube to watch something about this subject and i discover a new world in the name of 'Galchenko' i saw and learn a lot of thing from you and your videos. Not only the tricks and juggling, also concentration, resolution, working hard and wonderful teamwork. I congratulate you and I wish your victories go on.

  • "hi Vova and Olga..."

Unfortunately, Vova and Olga don't read YouTube comments, especially on my videos. But you may contact them directly. Their e-mail addresses you can find on their old site. The link is in my profile.

  • amm..sorry..your look cirque du soleil?

  • "your look cirque du soleil?"

Sorry, I didn't understand your question.

  • your are olga?

  • "your are olga?"

No, I am not Olga, if you meant that.

  • your you are Olga?

  • "your you are Olga?"

    What?

  • very nice juggling! what is the music?

  • "what is the music?"

Vova made it on the computer.

  • quiere decir que desde muy pequeño lo obligaban ha hacer malabarismo lo cual no queria hacer

  • nice.

  • Great stuff, imagine two Anthony Gatto's passing though, now THAT would be incredible!!!!

  • Passing is not solo juggling. You have to correct partner's mistakes as well as your partner has to correct yours. It is not only your juggling skills, but also how you can understand each other and how you

can get along with your partner. If two Anthony Gattos get along with each other and put enough practice into their passing then yes, that would be incredible.

  • True, Gatto is too innovative as a solo juggler himself to do that.

  • Who TF?

  • they use daznce ejay 4 for thr music lolol

    cos i no those samples

  • You are right. Dance ejay 4.

  • wooooow theyve grown from the otha video. they are soo good!

  • bawr?

  • Nevermind, read the rest of comments and you answered my questions. Wow.

  • Galchenko, what is your background?? Were you a circus performer?? They really seemed to enjoy the work you put them through as children.

  • Cada vez mejor

  • i like ur baby its my gurl ill find her!!!

  • wow...

  • this is the result .. of actually supporting your kids in what they do.. Kudos to the parents..

When will people realize the whole semi-rhythmic clapping thing.. does not work in these kind of cases.. lol

  • they truly are amazing!

  • Opposed to the other people saying "I saw this in Time" just above, I had never heard of these two until about 10 minutes ago when I stumbled across a vid. I find myself watching all of them now, juggling isn't my forte but I can't imagine it gets much better than this. Fantastic.

  • Privet! prosto Klansa das hien!!!!

  • Are they still doing stuff like that today

  • Yes, but harder.

  • r u related to them??

  • Yes, I am their father.

  • they should go on america's most talented(i would vote for em)......don't yall think?

  • hells yeah

  • Prosto Klasna!!!

  • It would actually look more Awesome if the footage was shot looking up rather then down, like at a concert.

I just read about them in time as well, never realized there were federations pr associations of Juggling. Still awesome, and heck i can't even juggle One thing at a time so it is kewl to see any Juggling Pros.

  • dude sweet this really awesome haha

  • Yeah, all I can say is oh my god. I just read about Vova and Olga in Time magazine. Wow.

  • yeah I read about them in Time just now. incredible.

  • o my god. this is very impressive...

  • zzzzzzzz

  • So after watching a few, I would really like to know one thing: What motivated you to make your children learn juggling and acrobatics?

  • I didn't make them to learn juggling and acrobatics. They started to learn it in the Circus School. In a few years they were kick out of the Circus School. Since then they started, as they say, to work hard on their juggling. Maybe they wanted to prove people that they can do much better without this Circus School. We, parents, helped them in every possible way.

  • 5 star rating!

  • god so good! Love it!

  • vova! you rock!

  • You should be very proud of your children. Ignore all of the negative comments!!!

  • ...holy shit

  • fantastic juggling there :) thanks for sharing that with us :)

  • Vova has grown alot since the date on the featured video....he's 19 now, isn't he???

  • He is 18 now. To see how he looks like now watch the video:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aEb3YknGUks

  • Your kids are extremely talented and I commend you for taking videos of them from a young age until now. Did you teach them how to juggle and perform gymnastics or did you send them to special schools?

  • Vova started to practice juggling and acrobatics at age of 6, when he entered the Circus School. I didn't teach him juggling and acrobatics. I only helped him to learn it making notes of his records and encouraging him to do that. I even started to learn how to juggle and passing balls, but he left me behind very soon. So I stopped it.

  • As for Olga I started to learn her juggling and acrobatics at age of 5 or maybe 4. At age of 6 she went into gymnastics and at age of 7 she entered the same local circus school.

  • As I am not a juggler or acrobat I could not teach them that stuff, but I was encouraging them every possible way.

  • Cmon you think thats actually real?? That was all done with computer graphics.

  • Look at all the older videos - this is all real.

  • wow that was awesome....
