Diah huit. We must keep our languages. Never let gaelic die. I'm from the Basque Country, and we speak Basque. It's a very ancient language, and even if politicians try not to give an impulse to our language we keep it alive. We also keep our musical culture. It makes no sense. Freedom for the Basque Country!!

Why is nationality so important? The most important thing is just to love the music and feel it, no matter where you are from, music is about emotions, about us all!
The perfect trip, go to a peaceful country like Ireland, with so much green and life, listening to the traditional music, drinking beer at a quiet far away 200 year old house. Does that exist? I would love if that came true.
@LiveLaughLovesss trust me it does exist! I have been to the West Coast of Ireland about 7 times in the past 3 years and I have never been disappointed.

just really great and lovely melodies from earth!...Irish? ... turkish? cheenese? arab? engilish? american ? ... this is meaningless I am only know earth peoples thats all!.
@chansherly212 Well they believe that they are exlusively British.
The truth is a little unkind to all in the Island, as it is to those living in the other British Islands.
Over several centuries the people of these islands mixed and intermixed so much that it is impossible to find any place there that does not have a mixture of all four nations, English, Irish, Scottish and Welsh.
Just an ironic twist of fate and a bludgeon upon those that seek to divide us ...
@no5eyparker um, not all believe they are british. many go to great lengths to stress that they are not british, in some cases (though very rare these days) rioting and worse. i do have to agree with your point of the mixture of and shared heritage though.
The Irish republic will of course have a variety of people: some Tribal Celtic in origin, some Manx, some Huguenot, & so on.... But IRELAND IS NOT BRITISH. The country has a distinct history of resistance to the British, as well as a culture & language separate from English. A lot of Irish would take offense to being called British, since they colonized the island & oppressed the natives for so long. The Irish people struggled & fought for their culture & the music we hear here!
@no5eyparker I suppose you can say most Irish are likely to have British ancestors, but I don't think you can really say the Irish are British, since technically the definition of British is 'of Great Britain, or in legal matters, of the United Kingdom,' and the Republic of Ireland is not under either. I do understand your point, though--that despite what we call ourselves we are all connected (especially if you live on islands that are so close to each other, ay? Haha)
@Lararevelute im british and wish i was a spanish guy with black hair and ray bans, with a name like Pablo Fuentes and lived by a beach with loads of money eating paella and haivng sex
Just for saying it, I'm Spanish, I live near the sea, my hair's brown, but dude, If you had lots of money, it doesnt' matter what's your name, or where are you from! Youre going to have all the other stuff.
PS. We're not that into sex and paella, we do other strange stuff, like... working?
@MaireCeann You could say that most Irish are Spanish as well as saying that they are British....
Do A Google search on "Tuatha De Danann". Those people were the REAL Elves aka Faeries, and went into mythology after they were defeated in a battle in 300BC with the Milesians, who had come from Northern Spain. The Milesians brought Gaelic and are largely ancestors of today's Irish.
@Lararevelute you have a chance. The last discoveries in genetics prove that the Irish are indeed Basques who migrated to Ireland in prehistoric times. Check the Genographics Program of National Geographic .
