  • did the intake make a noticeable difference in acceleration? im going to buy one pretty soon but dont know if i should get short ram or cold air ..any suggestions greatly apreciated it. its an 01 eclipse rs check my vids to see it along with 4 more eclipses on the road thanks man :)

  • Only really noticeable difference over stock is the throttle response. And a little more power and quicker acceleration in the low end. If you're trying to decide between cold air and short ram the difference and decision you have to make is if you want power in the low end for acceleration or more power in the higher end. I prefer a short ram for the low end throttle response. But it's completely up to you, low end throttle response or higher end power.

  • Oh yeah if you wanna hear a real intake click on japopeye and hear some acutal power. AEM Intake System (cant skimp out on power)

  • And I would check out your "real" intake but you don't have a video of it up on your page dumbass. Take a video of just your intake and we'll see if it's actually louder which I doubt. And for fuck sake, get a real car that's a manual you fuckin pussy, fuckin weak automatic shit.

  • Um if you're talking about me lyin about mine bein just as loud, Um I don't know when the last time you heard your video was, but mine is definitely louder. And not to mention in the other post, K&N make some of the best intakes you can get for your car. FYI, they make a CAI system that is guaranteed to give 20+ horsepower to the wheels of the C6 Z06. K&N is one of the best brands out there and I still have yet to hear a SRI louder than mine.

  • Thats to a Z06 numbnuts with something youve never driven a V8. and also to add to the other posts. Automatics are not weak shit some of the fastest cars are runnin autos and its the step u take when your MANUAL tranny cant take the abuse anymore DUMBASS.

  • And FYI, I have driven a V8, just so happens that same friend who has the 02 RS, his dad has an 03 Mustang Mach1 that he let me drive once. It was fucking insane. But once again you wouldn't try and claim shit like that if you had a clue about anything. And his car can run a 13.2 stock, so yea I know what fast feels like. Fucking dumbass.

  • All that and you ran a 12.6 when stock the 03-04 Mustang Mach1 runs a 13.2. And that's not my driving experience, that's the pros at motortrend that got those numbers out of a N/A 4.6L DOHC V8. 13.2 STOCK. That's fast and that's what my friend's dad has. He beats base model C5 corvettes Trans Am WS6's, Camaro SS's. beats cars with more power but his car is just plain fast.

  • No my friend has a 02 eclipse RS with the same weight as me and just a dynomax muffler, and the same intake, he ran a 15.2 at the track. That alone tells me that my car is faster than yours considering that we constantly race and we are always neck and neck. And I know I'm not "fast." My car is quick there is a difference. But you would know that if you had a clue about anything.

  • that's completely understandable. Gas is fucking horrible. but I had just the other night a V6 sebring coupe that thought he was fast, he did 3 flybys before I finally dropped it into third on the highway to pull up even with him, then I waited for him to do the honk but he never did instead he just floored it, so I floored it in third and ended up beating him by about 3 car lengths even though he got the head start, it was rather funny if you ask me.

  • lol... i love stupid ppl!! but yea... who the hell can afford $4 a gallon for gas? DAMN! ill be getting my bike not next weekend but the one after that... ill get some vids up of it. i actually have 3 new ones up now of my bosses bike if ya wanna check it out

  • oh yea dude... that is much better!! mine always sounded soooo sweet when i had a K&N filter on it...

    and i like the grunting affects you make when you put the camera down lol

  • It's cause I'm gettin old man, hit 21 and my body starts fallin apart, but yea I think it makes my car sound alot deeper and gives it more exhaust tone overall that wasn't there before. But I like it and it definitely improves throttle response and gives it a lil bit quicker acceleration.

  • yep mine sounds more like a V6 now because of how deep the intake made it sound. Already more people think they want to race me just cause my car is louder. It's fun though.
