The same boys were still there, however.

The school, the people, the students, and the facilities, all excellent. Half day in English and the rest in Farsi!! Do remember Mr. Ghiyasi and Mrs. Kouladji. Bless em all wherever they are... I used to go there for the elementary school from 1981 to 1983. We didn't get much Basij experience then but from what I've heard it gradually turned pretty bad afterwards (e.g. Amuzeshe Nezami was included as a course a short time after 1983 for Rahnamaie and above). Anyhow, I am amazed by what I see in this video. It seemed like a normal and a nice school back in 1979.

Absolutely brilliant!! So many memories, still have my yearbooks, was at Iran Zamin during 1978-1981 when Mr. and Mrs. Irvine were there!! The school, the people, the students, and the facilities, all excellent. Half day in English and the rest in Farsi!! Do remember Mr. Ghiyasi and Mrs. Kouladji. Bless em all wherever they are... Those were the days...

I used to go there for the elementary school from 1981 to 1983. We didn't get much Basij experience then but from what I've heard it gradually turned pretty bad afterwards (e.g. Amuzeshe Nezami was included as a course a short time after 1983 for Rahnamaie and above). Anyhow, I am amazed by what I see in this video. It seemed like a normal and a nice school back in 1979.
What an stunning degradation in the educational and the student life quality in the years after!!
