just reading back over all of our comments and i havent stopped laughing man that was fun! anyway I would hate to think that all the music they put out in their coke days was only playable if high so I guess its possible that only a select group of artists can lose their addiction and still play the music as it was intended to be played .......just hated to see one of my favorite Police tracks be played as a lounge tune

When I first read this comment (20 secs into the video) I was already thinking of something to write back, but in the end all I could come up with was this: I have to agree. Sting has always done slower, jazzier, mellower versions of most of his songs. In many cases, with great success. But I have to say, this song -just as Synchronicity II, and quite a few others that defined The Police as a rock band- cannot just be played sooo slow.
