  • you want to put up subtitles pal

  • @surfin4 Click "Show More" for transcript.

  • @dreamlandnightmare my bad...cheers

  • I don't normally post "hater comments" but seriously... I know you think the "altered voice" thing sounds cool and mysterious, but it's just annoying and stupid. You don't exactly need to "hide your identity" to post Art Bell episodes. Kinda pathetic......

    NERD FAIL.

  • Dude whats up with the fucked up voice I cant hear SHIT. and then it goes to normal for a couple of minutes and then back to the fucked up voice...lame. If you have the REAL FULL AUDIO let me know cuz I am fascinated by this topic.

  • Holy hell, I never heard about this. I live in St. Joseph, maybe 4 miles from that south 13th street address.

I'm gonna start asking around about this guy...

    Fackin' cool

  • theres been a lot of cats who have just disapeared through out the last century or so or died under mysterious circumstances..... i dont have all the answers but i can say for sure that we've been lied 2 about a whole bunch of things and i just wish that more people werent caught n the matrix.... think people its not illegal yet

  • Maybe this is why the cat was a sacred animal in ancient Egypt?

  • I do know for a fact that before he disappeared for good, he was evicted from his apartment for causing electrical anomalies. I caught the spelling of his name and his street address on a rerun of Art's show. Google turns up some interesting stuff.

    Mike Marcum

    209 1/2 South 13th Street

    Saint Joseph, MO 64501

  • i just listened to the coast to coast. i hope the guy is alright wherever he is. he was/is brilliant.

  • I heard a rumor that after Markham disappeared, a listener called Art to talk about a strange news story he had uncovered. Back in the 20's or 30's, police found a man dead on the beach in California. He was crushed to death inside a strange metal tube. The man was unrecognizable and a mysterious device was found near his body. The caller said the device looked like a cell phone in the photo. Markham told Art that he would take a cell phone with him if he ever tested the machine on himself.

  • that would be somethin if that was him! i just listened to the coast to coast interview... i hope mike is okay

  • I listen to the show that you heard of. the name of the man was "John Titor" if i remember correctly. He described a man in the photo as being MadMan and yes it was a cell phone. I have not seen the photo but ... still a heck of a story.

  • @tec9z28 I've looked everywhere, for such a photo. Still no luck. =( Does anybody know which decade and county(or better yet, town) this was to have allegedly happened? Even if not linked to "Mad Man", it would still be a very significant photo. Side note: I never could accept the Titor story... It never felt right, to me...

  • I remember this guy. I was heavily into electronics/computers...etc There was a news story on this guy, he was interviewed he apologized and admitted he was wrong to steal the transformers. He also said he knew in theory how to do it. He looked sincere, and honest about it I believed him in that I don't think he was crazy and possibly maybe he was onto something. That was in the mid 90's and I still remember that story. I just got curious and started to search the web Wonder what happened to him

  • i am mad man markam

  • um im talking to him now on skype...

  • what is he saying

  • how about we attempt this experiment, any one think of that? if he could do it, any other man, idk how smart he was, but smarter can do the same, or even better

  • sounds like your in a cave

  • nice sound

  • Audio patch cords from Radio Shack are cheap. Plug your tape recorder in to your soundcard and you're golden, and encode your audio. Better than using your mic from a distance. (What it sounds like.)

  • Sounds like a wendys Speaker..LOL

  • 3:33 looks like a man praying.

  • I remember reading this article in the Omaha World Herald...we thought he was nuts

  • luke i am your father

  • I don't understand american government, reminds me of the gulags wherby russian government sent prisoners of all types, away to abandonment, never heard of again. So it seems with Marcum, possibly, if he is a threat to the government's status quo, why not eliminate him?

  • sounds like a dalek

  • Art Bell is a used UFO salesman.

    Huckster.

  • Like the '77 Yankees and whatever gets to the series now. Zzzzzz. Art was Reggie Jackson. He brought it on everytime to the plate.

  • Anybody see the difference between Ian & George and Art? Even on Art's most boring nights he is better than those two lamers.

  • He's in Art Bell's double wide. Bell made 20 million in 10 years and is spending it with MMM before the economy tanks with the next boom boom, probably in Vegas.

  • He's up in Leavenworth with the negroes in jail.

  • haha.

  • i belive you x

  • dick

  • tracy

  • good one

  • That's Arkham like the name in the Batman series of the assylum... Where all the Crazy villains would be locked up

  • He went back the Jurassic and got eaten by a Tyrannosaur.

Let this be a lesson to the rest of you time travelers, don't forget Mr. Fusion.

  • I remember some Madman Markum. I wonder what the government did with his ass.

  • I bet Mike is still around. He must not want to be contacted. He gave out his phone number on the Art Bell Show back in 95 so I called him up after the interview. He was a real interesting person. He was no fool.. in fact he was more intelligent than one might think. Mike if you see this I hope all is well with you and your experiments.

    N01B4M3

  • Even intelligent people tilt at windmills.

  • I haven't listened to coast-to-coast since 2000, but listening to the radio driving home late tonight reminded me of Coast-to-Coasst and subsequently Madman Marcum. Figure I would search the web for follow-ups but there isnt much out there.

  • No, there's not.

  • Maybe the Government got him and I hope they don't get that type of technology in their hands for EVIL. Or may be they already have it and had him eliminated, well whatever I sure hope not.

    God help us all.

  • The madman marcum episode is on the classics this week for Coast to Coast. It went up this monday, so it'll be up for two weeks

    lionheart

  • i swear you last area 51 vid had me shakeing in my boots but i did see the airplane thing cool vid

  • After this broadcast in which they gave out his phone number I called Mike Marcum up and spoke with him on the phone for about 2 hours. It was a fun conversation with him telling me he probably wouldn't have gotten arrested for the transformers but the had leaked oil on his porch which led to the police finding the transformers. He also told me when he made nitoglycerin in science class in H.S. I also wondered what happened to him.

  • I remember a show with Madman from November of 1999. I am positive it was not this October 1999 rebroadcast. It was not 1995 because he discussed some of the job offers that had come to him from around the world. I think he mentioned Europe????

Does anyone have these Madman Markum audios? Please put them all up, in full please.

  • I have the original broadcast and first follow-up, but I don't know how I would transfer the entire video cassette audio to a digitial audio file.

  • Did you record it on VHS or audio cassette?

  • I have an audio cassette of a rebroadcast from 2001.

I mistakenly typed "video cassette". It's on a regular audio cassette tape.

  • He must have literally created an electro-magnetic field so powerful it disturbed the light around it, therefor playing into einsteins theory of relativity either slowing or speeding time up...sweeeeeeeeet, physics gives me a hardon

  • Personally, I think he just created a very dangerous special effect. Even if he's telling the truth about the screw, it was probably nothing more than a simple optical illusion.

  • I would agree with that statement, fully. I believe that it might have been for publicity, too - However, if it wasn't for publicity, then optics were tricking him.

  • You don't know what you're talking about, there's no way you can influence time through high voltage.

  • prove it

  • this is by far the best video since your area 51 mystic.

  • Hard to go wrong with old Art Bell shows.

  • no dreamland u dont sound like a hillbilly but im sure the government mastered it or maybe not but ya idk why no one else has tried it

  • You know..my question is...has nobody ever tried repeating this? maybe set up a very complex/controlled environment to possibly test this idea?

I mean...sure...how many people are really willing to risk being vaporized or being transported hundreds of years into the past, with possibly no way back to actually try this, but would be comforting to at least know you get vamporized on the spot, rather than wondering if this man was transported to a random in time or not.

  • he sounds like a hillbilly

  • Me or Mad Man Markham? If you are referring to Mad Man, he is from Missouri, after all.

  • "Mad Man" Markham - This was truly a story of mystery, and a little science-fiction. I am asking the question, myself: "Where is he?...". I guess no one will ever know.

  • One would think he would have resurfaced with the advent of internet. I mean, nut or not, the guy has a cult following. He should have exploited his celebrity.

  • It'd be nice to live in the future and see how many time travellers show up.

What ever happened to John Titor?

  • what is the Philadelphia Experiment?

  • Supposedly a failed experiment the U.S. military conducted during WW2 to render a Navy ship invisible. It is claimed that ship did not disappear, but was teleported, leaving some of the crew stuck to hull of ship, with their bodies stuck between this time and space and another.

  • Never heard of this interview. Seem's interesting enough and I am free tonight... I think I'll do a bit of research on this.

  • Don't get too excited. There is not much information on "Mad Man" Markham to be found at all. There is really nothing more known about the individual and his experiments than what I covered in this video.

  • I forgot all about this guy! Ahh, the old-school art bell show.

  • Do you remember "Mel's Hole" as well?

The current show really lacks the mystique of old, doesn't it?

  • Oh yeah, I remember Mel's hole. They had an interesting show the other night about strange animals up in Michigan. Generally speaking I'd have to agree with you about the current show. Maybe I'm just getting old or something :P

  • No, the show used to have more spice. With it's not new age nonsense, it's that face on Mars quack, Richard Hoagland (seriously, that guy is on at least once or twice a week, it seems). I usually switch to sports talk radio about 10 minutes into the show these days.

Do you recall the infamous Area 51 broadcast, in which the show suspiciously went off the air for about 5 mintues while Art was interviewing an alleged employee? I think that was totally contrived.

  • i'm sure he'll show up on 'dancing with the stars'

  • time travel not to sure i think he must of killed himself, if it work (which i doubt) he would be way in the futuer
