The open chords should be arpeggiated with the power chords strummed. The arpeggiation adds a whole level of melody that is missing if they're strummed...just an opinion.

@BvBDemyx3 Eb is 1/2 step down from E, otherwise known as standard tuning. The note on the Low E string is a E(Natural), Drop down a 1/2 step and you have Eb. A full step down would make the Low E string a D . So yes many 80's 90's band used Eb tuning quite alot

firstly wicked lessons thansk so much. AT 2.37 you play the cords and there is a tune too i can hear when you paly but not when I play them. What strings are you playing to get that tune whilst playing the cords? Would love a lesson off you but think you live in UK and i'm currently in NZ.

justin: the lead in the chorus is not the same as intro if you listen carefully it starts on E but does not go down to the D instead it goes to C# and the the pattern's notes are "E,C#,A,G,D,A,C#,A" and the second is "G,C,G,F,E,G,D,G" and then the first pattern of the intro twice

@louisivano True, but the original recording is tuned down a 1/2 step, so the positions of the power chords are right. When he plays what is a D in standard tuning, its actually a Db because the guitar is tuned down. Watch the Sweet Child music video, you can see it.

Just about any guitar can be set up to have a low action so don't worry about the string height.

If you plan to shred, you should worry more about the pickups on the guitar and the amp you are running it through.
