Is there any way we can send mail to Cristopher? We should let him know that there are many people out here who care for him. That he is forgiven. We could take much pain and stress off of him.
Hello ConcernedMomSC & viewers of this video, I have a request and as this moving story appears to be a good place to reach the people I'm looking for, I hope it's okay that I post here.
I'm an actor & theatre practitioner in London, currently working on a verbatim project on the AMERICAN HEALTH CARE SYSTEM and needing willing participants to share their views & experiences. Please click my Channel for more info. I'm looking forward to hearing from you, MomSC, or any page visitor. Thanks.
I wish the words from this were in print, so I can print them up. I feel the doctor should be held accountable. I'm 33 and have been on anti-depressants for the past 13 years and when I started taking Zoloft, I felt crazy. No child should be prescribed Anti-depressants. Anyone with a brain knows a child shouldn't, so this doctor should be held for his/her actions. Christopher should also be tried as a juvenile. There's no reason he ever should be tried as an adult.
I was on Zoloft for a year in the early 90's, & called my Doctor, & spoke with him while behind the wheel of my truck to explain that I have this strong desire to crash my truck at high speed into a concrete wall, his response was. "ooh, we don't need that," and I was already scheduled to see him that day, and we had a prearranged plan for me to call if I experienced another near suicide on my way to his office. I felt manic, clinched my jaw, tightened my neck, daydreaming about crashing.
I feel so sorry for Christopher. This is such an injustice. It's crazy to hear about peoples' experiences with Zoloft, yet the drug is still on the market. America is going to HELL, not just bc of the prescribed drugs but all the issues we've got going on currently as well. Ugh. I'm disgusted and will pray for young Christopher and his family.
was on zoloft for severe ptsd depression 2007. it made me manic in a way i have never been before.i lost 4 friends in one day because i called uncontrollably, was aggressive and saying crazy raging mean stuff that was far from my true character! if i had the energy back then, depression and ptsd=low energy, i woulda also had no hesitation of killing myself. zoloft is brutal compared to other antidepressants docs put me on. i wont ever touch western med drugs. big phara wins again n covers azz!
i highly doubt that a 12 year old kid a shy kid at that much could have ever planned the murders of his grandparents and try to cover it up by setting the house on fire then steal the car and drive to the middle of the woods and hide? i have no doubt that he killed them but Chris said he heard voices telly him what to do. i say that the judge sould lett him go, or place a bail amount for him, or put him on parole it is not CHRIS' FAULT LET HIM GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
as of 4 weeks ago I put the pieces together of my 25year old sisters apparent suicide.
it was definitly drug induced! she was stressed. not depressed. then they put her on a drug. which made her talk suicidal. they said don't worry she will not harm herself.
well..she stopped unkowingly that it would in a few days take her life. she died .gunshot wound to the head. i found her. i was just 12.
So sad...but I'm not surpised about US Justice...well ,after the O.J casa anything can happen... So who could trust US Law??? .It wasn't enough the granparents murders...do they really need to destroy this boy's life?
However, it is recognised that specialists may sometimes decide to use these drugs in response to individual clinical need; children and adolescents should be monitored carefully for suicidal behaviour, self-harm or hostility, particularly at the beginning of treatment.
CSM advice (depressive illness in children and adolescents)
The CSM has advised that the balance of risks and benefits for the treatment of depressive illness in individuals under 18 years is considered unfavourable for the SSRIs citalopram, escitalopram, paroxetine, and sertraline, and for mirtazapine and venlafaxine. Clinical trials have failed to show efficacy and have shown an increase in harmful outcomes.
i sure hope the coverage on cnn helps you out a bit. 12 year old getting 30 years.what a joke. he at max should have been held till he was 18 in a juvenile system. this is a joke just like the US justice system
Wow, this is so sad, I truly feel for this young boy. I highly doubt his grandparents would want him to spend 30 years behind bars for their murderer's when he was clearly depressed and not in his right frame of mind. This kid should be in a facility to help him instead of throwing him in with violent criminals. Another miscarriage of justice...Welcome to America :(
Why did Pfizer Canada issue a warning about self harm and harm to others regarding Paxil/Zoloft and Pfizer America has not? Would not the clinical trials/experiences apply to both countries? Please go to Christopher's Bill on the Juvenile Justice Foundation Site and sign it.
On the same day as the Pittman verdict, a judge in Detroit granted a new trial to Christopher Bernaiche, a 24-year-old man who was convicted of murder. He was under the influence of Prozac, another SSRI antidepressant and, like Chris Pittman, his dose was doubled shortly before the killings.
Is there any way we can send mail to Cristopher? We should let him know that there are many people out here who care for him. That he is forgiven. We could take much pain and stress off of him.

Truly a sad & heart breaking story. We never used to see things like this happen before. Blame should be directly placed on Big Pharma. & Monsanto!

Chris Pittman's dad should burn in hell for beating this poor child. What kind of parent beats a helpless child? Pittman's dad should be in prison.
