I get 20 - 23 mpg with my 98 Subaru legacy outback and I find it a gas guzzler and it's been tuned up,replaced all filters,spark plugs,wires,etc..had about 22 or less with my 87 VW jetta,I do a lot of highway by the way,and i wouldn't want a car that does 27mpg,I can get a ZX14 for a fraction of the price that would guzzle far less and would tear the camaro a new ass performance-wise,have a kickass day! lol

I have a new Chrysler 399 SRT8 and I love American cars. I do also have a Toyota Rav4 because it's an excellent car, sold in my hometown by Americans and assembled by Americans. The foreign ideas and quality are tough to beat anc they've come a long ways. I've owned Chevys(including Camaros). NOT impressed by this one since I live up North. Good Southern or Southwestern car maybe. The sad truth is, some American designs are NOT outstanding quality but have huge pricetags and fuel burn. Oh well.

pontiac plans are to phase out the brand, yet i think they will re-introduce that brand, with only one or two models, but that's okay, they should focus on just sporty cars, i think the solstice and the G8 (GXP trim or not) are a step in the right drection, they should follow that leap up behind closed doors and dish out surprises in the future. Pontiac is just to precious and full of histroy to just let it silently go.

yea the v6 has 304hp 0-60 in about 6 sec a dodge viper is 0-60 in 4.5 sec but the camaro v6 is 6 sec haha they are now out in florida

It's not a Pontiac - its a Chev. Besides - GM already said they're killing the Pontiac division but are keeping the name. Pontiac will consists of only 2 cars - the Soltice and the G8, which will be renamed. The two models will likely be made avaialbe at the Chev dealerships.

I realize it's not a Pntiace. Point was, GM has already closed its High Performance Division. High powered novelty cars aren't going to be big sellers, so I wouldn't be suprised to see that Camaro cut from the lineup in a year or two.

As for the Solstice, it's gone. GM has confirmed that they won't be rebadgiing it. There was the Saturn Sky, but Saturn is being closed as well.

The G8 is also being discontinued.
