hey man thanks for the vid, it was too fast for me to learn from scratch but it was perfect for seeing how to add those finishing touches of the slides and bends to actually make it sound right, after learning the basics from another vid.

I looked at about lessons for this intro solo before hitting this one. It's my favorite Metallica song and I could tell all of them were completely wrong. This one however, is actually correct, THANK YOU.

the only thing i notice is on the 12th fret after sliding from the 15th to the 17th then playing the 15th twice he doesn't slide up from 12 to 14

which is 0:06 seconds in lol but everything else sounds good

Good lesson, and actually very helpful. Probably confusing to those who have made the switch from Guitar Hero to tabs and don't know their way around a guitar neck unless you print them a diagram.

This is a lot better than most "lessons" on this website. You have good lighting and a dark fretboard to make the notes easily identifiable.

i think this video is not for those who cant play by ear and watch someone play and mimic it. its not for the ones who can only read tabs. and if you have trouble playing it the way this guy does, then why try to learn it?

what your playing sounds great, but the notes are wrong, there is two ways of playing this song and you've mastered one way and it sounds great, but i personally have a tough time playing thi sparticular not pattern in some areas and those areas are the areas that are different among the two tabs.. but the problem i have is i have the tab your playing and i cannot find the other.. i'll send a link to the correct playing that kirk plays.

it would of been more helpfull if mention the frets and strings and just add a little more detail because if you havent relised all your doing is just playing the song but a bit slower and people that havent been playing guitar for too long like me would just be confused.. btw nice guiar
