I luv making great new discoveries,How did I miss this in 79! But I wonder If I Would have appreciated This Gift when I was just 21.Thank GOD For YouTube AMEN!
johnniewalke you're my hero. If I had to choose one artist to listen to for the rest of my life, there's no question who it would be. Thanks so much!!!!
God blessed every single person with a gift(s) and talent(s)...he blessed Stevie Wonder with the gift and talent of music...OMG I love you Stevie...this is beautiful, unique, epic...love when "Send Your Love" melody comes in at 1:38....awwwww....love it.
Second to none, Stevie Wonder's music and talent's are a universal wonder ( no pun intended) but then again, perhaps, he is the only wonder that makes you say "umm"?
Yes this album is soo underated, so symphonic, melodic and funky..if you look at the sheet music he is changing key and time sinatures at will and flawless to where as a listerer you dont notice the complexity...
This is the best album I've ever heard. Of any artist. When I've found my father's LPs, years ago, I never would have imagined that I could experience such magic through music.
I love almost all the music Stevie has created. But this one makes him a true genius. The melodies, which reemerge in several songs. And the "Finale", which leads again through the whole album. A real masterpiece.
One of the best comments on YOUTube. I'm re-listening to Secret Life of Plants as I have started learning bass guitar, aged 51! It's great to play along to this album - or try to ! All the best to musingabout.
I'm a huge SW fan. I loved this album when i was a kid. But, I think this album is the last album that Stevie pushed his creative abilities. The albums which followed weren't as innovative. I think this is due to the poor reception this album recieved from the public and it spooked Stevie. I wish he goes back to this type of experimentation.
HEY WAIT A MINUTE !!!!! I can hear "Send One Your Love" at 1:35 ??? Wow, I must admit I am only 32......and my generation doesn't make music this ingenius at all.
I love this whole damn album...this is not traditional Stevie; you have to really love and understand Stevie Wonder to know what he was doing with this!!!!
Apparently, my friend he was experimenting with different sounds as opposed to what he's already known for. You know you have reached a milestone when you can do that.

I think the album is very underrated, though the synth sounds a little dated. An orchestral version would be great.

God this instrumental part makes every cell in my body dance and smile. I had forgotten how very powerful this album was.

Johnniewalker23: Thanks for making this album available to all on youtube.
One of the masterpieces of all times with something for all audiences to learn from; either its message or its one-of-a-kind musical quality.
