Well you can keep laughing, $750 for just the motor, $1100 for the battery. Um, no. Get the price for the motor, battery, and all electronics under $100 and then maybe you have something, because the bike is going to add another $100. And its not safe to go 50mph with bicycle brakes and 2 tiny square inches of bicycle tire contacting the road at that speed. There's a reason moped, and then motorcycle tires, get bigger and bigger with increases speed and weight.
Cool bike. I am thinking of ditching my car and using an eBike to get to and from work. Then rent a car only when I need to go to somewhere train or bus can´t take me.
It's not my bike; I just made the video. I believe your question is answered in the link in the video description. If not, post a comment on the Instuctables page he (the bike's maker) will see it.
thats cool :) a friend of mine has done this to his mountain bike the parts was orignally for his motorbike but could only get 45mph out of it so he scraped it and moved to his push bike he went a step further and made his own custom fearings too it now looks more like a motorbike then his motorbike does lol and is quick i want one too though is expensive is like a grand for just the batterys heh
Very nice engineering and application on this bike. Plus it looks cool as heck. There is the ongoing problem of battery weight. The currently available batteries are just too much weight. At 137 lbs, this bike is much to heavy to be friendly.
Nice job. Years ago I tried modding my own bike but it failed miserably. Forgot to do the torque calculations on the motor . . . it was too weak . . .

OVER 50mph!!!, man, I used to laugh at these things (I, on a normal bike, faster than electrical or combustion "mosquito bikes"), but this is serious speed.
Congratulations to the makers (and the video show the speed accordingly).
what about ups and downs?

Generally speaking, one would try to avoid such things...

What's the top speed and Range for this?
Also, how long does it take to "refuel"
