  • is this the anthology version?

  • This is a piece of art...

I can relate to it, my guitar also weeps, but quietly.

Man, I think The Beatles are the only people who won't turn their back on me :)

  • I think the Love albums version is a lot better then the original version.

  • Dear all you guys, Hi, I have a little story for you all. At the school dance the other day, my best friend requested anything by the Beatles for me. I was waiting when our DJ Mason told us they can't play it because nobody likes the Beatles. I calmly walked outside and cried. About an hour later, they played "I am the Walrus" then this. I was so happy. Me and Emy had the time of our lives singing and dancing, and even though everybody stared at us, we got a standing ovation. God bless Beatles.

  • R.I.P. George Harrison.

  • Woah... This is straight from Jesus' iPod. It really sounds like something you would hear in church. That's just me though...

  • @DragonRadar52 This is the shit we should be worshipping.

  • @iTzSparklez I'd probably actually go to church more if they had musicians like this. or music.

  • 1 dislike? Now you know why war exists. FIND THE INFIDEL.

  • 1 person missed the "like" button! it must of been a mistake...

  • I still love your music, while my guitar gently weeps

    !

  • Written to Perfection.

  • beautiful!!!!!!!!

  • Beautiful song!!!

  • Beautiful!

  • i believe this version is by george harrison. the beatles version has a little more speed, and drums in the background.

  • "with every mistake, we must surely be learning..." that line always shakes me to the core. It feels like a desperate plea for help.

  • Gotta love the beatles...

  • amazing song I can't find one with lyrics on the creen thoughh.. :/ lol

  • godbless George and his boring demeanor.

  • Dude, both versions are sung by George. It's a George song to a T.

  • mrnestamarley,as posted before you can't be a Beatle fan if you can't tell who is singing,if you are that stupid please leave it to yourself ,then everyone will not be laughing at you. Beautiful song by George.

  • I have just recently become a fan of the beatles & I find their music amazing;; this is the first time I have ever heard this song & it is beautiful!!!

  • New fans are still fans and that's all that matters.

  • The best version of this song... with the extra verse.

  • my fav beatles song. lovely version.

  • favourite version! i love the original but this one is softer and sounds amazing

  • i love the other version too, but this has more soul, it's a gorgeous version. <3

  • love george, love this song.

  • i love this song! the beatles r awesome!

  • I love this song,

whenever I hear it, I find myself singing or humming,

I've always liked the beatles, but songs like this make me fall in love with their music.

  • R.I.P. George, we miss you very much!

  • Superb.

  • I understand what you're saying, i dont know why nobody told you how to unfold you're love.

  • This song only serves as a reminder of the Ex. I play it every now and then when I think of her

I become sad and nearly weepy every time I hear it.

    She loved the Beatles.

  • But this is the version that appeared on Beatles Love. The original one, without the string arrangement, could be heard on Beatles Anthology, Vol. 3. I prefer the latter, for is more emotional and you can catch the George' voice almost crying... beautiful song. Besides, it has some different lyrics at the final verses:

"I look from the wings at the play you are staging

    While my guitar gently weeps

As I'm sitting here doing nothing but aging

    Still my guitar gently weeps"

    R.I.P George

  • very good version idd

    fav

    thx =)

  • I have collected many version of this song. Among these is a Acoustic song sung by George with only guitar.

And it is seems really like this version.

I wonder when was this song record, and how, and where?

    :D I love the Beatles

  • This song was recorded in London. George harrison wrote the song the, but john lennon and paul mcartney wouldn't let him record it. So George called Eric Clapton. Eric came in and played guitar for george. lennon and mcartney felt like they had to put it on a record or else they would piss off clapton. This happened a lot to Harrison. He would write stellar songs then John and Paul would never let him record them. Its too bad because George was the best writer of the group.

  • here it is shown that George sings great in falsetto too!!! :)

  • thats paul. this is the love album version, this happened long after george died.

  • no, it's definitely George who's singing

  • Comment removed

  • that is George singing and becuase it sounds different is because George Martin edited it for the LOVE album.

  • John, Paul and Ringo didn't think this song was anything special, but George's wonderful composition is WAY better then Imagine, admit it!!!! And Yesterday!!! Here Today and Nowhere man is great but so is Don't Bother Me!! He was underrated, even by George Martin

  • I love this version-it's simpler and seems more melancholy than the original.....lonelier somehow.

  • yeah.....more sad this one, the original version is more rocky. And George Martin makes great string orchestra together with the acoustic guitar

  • i love this song and the Beatles made so many good song in so little time

  • hah thanks! :D I love my rock, best music in the world

  • You have really good taste in music (I saw your other songs too)
