Dear all you guys, Hi, I have a little story for you all. At the school dance the other day, my best friend requested anything by the Beatles for me. I was waiting when our DJ Mason told us they can't play it because nobody likes the Beatles. I calmly walked outside and cried. About an hour later, they played "I am the Walrus" then this. I was so happy. Me and Emy had the time of our lives singing and dancing, and even though everybody stared at us, we got a standing ovation. God bless Beatles.
luckybolt you have to be about the most moronic person to comment on this video, if you don't like the song or artist singing go the hell to another place you sound like a rap fan too bad topac is dead.
mrnestamarley,as posted before you can't be a Beatle fan if you can't tell who is singing,if you are that stupid please leave it to yourself ,then everyone will not be laughing at you. Beautiful song by George.
I have just recently become a fan of the beatles & I find their music amazing;; this is the first time I have ever heard this song & it is beautiful!!!
But this is the version that appeared on Beatles Love. The original one, without the string arrangement, could be heard on Beatles Anthology, Vol. 3. I prefer the latter, for is more emotional and you can catch the George' voice almost crying... beautiful song. Besides, it has some different lyrics at the final verses:
"I look from the wings at the play you are staging
This song was recorded in London. George harrison wrote the song the, but john lennon and paul mcartney wouldn't let him record it. So George called Eric Clapton. Eric came in and played guitar for george. lennon and mcartney felt like they had to put it on a record or else they would piss off clapton. This happened a lot to Harrison. He would write stellar songs then John and Paul would never let him record them. Its too bad because George was the best writer of the group.
John, Paul and Ringo didn't think this song was anything special, but George's wonderful composition is WAY better then Imagine, admit it!!!! And Yesterday!!! Here Today and Nowhere man is great but so is Don't Bother Me!! He was underrated, even by George Martin
is this the anthology version?

This is a piece of art...
I can relate to it, my guitar also weeps, but quietly.
Man, I think The Beatles are the only people who won't turn their back on me :)

I think the Love albums version is a lot better then the original version.

This song only serves as a reminder of the Ex. I play it every now and then when I think of her
I become sad and nearly weepy every time I hear it.
She loved the Beatles.

I love this version-it's simpler and seems more melancholy than the original.....lonelier somehow.
starberry79 3 years ago
yeah.....more sad this one, the original version is more rocky. And George Martin makes great string orchestra together with the acoustic guitar
