  • i get goose bumps when i listen to him sing..xx

  • How fortunate to see the great man performing - absolutely marvellous. Graham Melb Aus

  • Thanks so much for this- I have never seen any film of Tauber. What a wonderful voice- thankfully he made many recordings of old standards- his "We'll Gather Lilacs" still brings a tear. He could hit a high note as gently and sweetly as a butterfly landing on a bough- wonderful phrasing and no one put more feeling into his music than Tauber.

    Thanks very much for this.

  • It simply does not come any better than this. Richard, in my opinion was one of the few great tenors of the early recording age. Put him together with John Mcormack and the wonderful Joseph Locke and there you have it .The three greatest tenors of all time. No disrespoect to the more recent "Three Tenors" but , lets face it, Where was their magic, by comparison.

  • This is wonderful! Thank you for posting.

  • omg how beautiful...classic.....

  • So schmalzig. I love it.

  • Richard Tauber and this song go together like pie a la mode.

  • I love the old Black and Whites... the acting was sort of cheesy, but the beautiful music made up for it...

  • Pure class. He will never be fogotten by those who appreciate real talent.

  • wonderful

  • Thank you for this film clip. There will NEVER be another Tauber. FIVE STARS!
