  • Still my favorite sad but truest song. It don't mean nothing at all. Although nice fox, you must have meant something.

  • It's so wonderful. Touching the very chord of death. I wished I could talk of a nice fox I once knew.

  • yep these guys lived in my neighborhood old wilmywood aka wilmington

  • this gets me all choked up

  • This, my fellow humans, is a MASTERPIECE.

    Oh yes.

    A pure divine song.

    <3

  • Actually, it was an actual fox, not a dog,and one of them had found it dead . And even though they might not have had the same religion, the guy wrote "Nice Fox" on a wooden cross for it. He'd always watched the fox. The story came with the album.

  • This song is particularly touching because The Rosebuds wrote this song about the small dog they had who died. His name was 'Fox'. If you listen to the lyrics carefully, you will see that he is singing about a dog.

What's more, there is a video floating around somewhere on the Internet that is the original footage of them together, in a canoe or something; you get to see their calm closeness and companionship.

It makes you realize what an animal can mean to a person. :'(

    Lovely song.
