i was soo confused before i heard this remix... bcoz aatichudi has nothing in commen with the old surangani... and since i didnt know anything about that surangeni remix, i didnt get the point with ATICHUDI IS A COPY OF SURANGANI...

Actually Athichudi is not exactly a copy..it's just that Dinesh redid Surangani remix with Vijay Anthony (on his invitation) for the particular Tamil movie.

But sadly Vijay Anthony didn't credit Dinesh for his song.

Anyway if u want this Surangani remix version u can download from utube with a UT converter or from Ares or torrents.

Or just give me an addy and I'll mail it to u :)

And this song is a remix of the age old Sinhalese baila song (much popular in India too) 'Surangani ta Malu Genawa'. Dinesh Kanagaratnam ( A Srilankan Tamil artist) remixed it and this is that remix. Vijay anthony heard this and invited Dinesh to redo the song for the Taxi movie and that is Athichudi. Got it?

u made a big mistake, surangani remix by shafi n dinesh was the original version and vj anthony just remade it in tamil cinema, this is not just a singhala song, instead tamil-singhala-anglo remix.

I prefer this song then the athichuudi, purely b'coz I luv avaiyaar n atthichuudi n I don't like someone make shit out of it.

Well..this song is the original song of Athichudi which was released a lot earlier in Srilanka. . So Athichudi can b called a cover and I like dis 1 a lot better than Athichudi. And as for the video ofcourse I made this cz there ws no video for it in Srilanka and if u want the original video for Athichudi u cnfind it so easily around here. But to me it's just typical Tamil movie footage :(
