I banned SG for 4 weeks because Cooley replaced Alex and yes, this was Alex's last episode. Alex along with Pam and Deborah was my three favorite dancers.... Call it a mourning period!! LOL!!!
@lbCharmed1 ....really it was not because Cooley joined. It was more in the lines of the original SGDancers being replaced. Season 4 started with 6 originals and Season 5 started only with Pam!!! I believe that hiring Anita Mann really did hurt SG. During Season 4 the only replacement dancers I actually liked were Lezlie and Mark.
@syouyun - in that 'I'll Tumble For Ya' number the heel of her right shoe is actually hanging over the edge of the stage in mid-air, not once but TWICE. And she has this expression on her face as though nothing is wrong and not a tiny sign of compensation on her part. What a pro!
@reymatt76 - actually I think this is the 1st time he appeared on the show to perform this number. The 2nd time was for Countdown 83 as the opening performance there too.
@lbCharmed1 - I think actually it was 3 times Frank Stallone appeared on Solid Gold. The third time was in the spring of 1984, in an episode in which both Chelsie and Tony were gone and were replaced by Lezlie Mogell and Steve LaChance.
@ronafer69 - but did he perform a different song? Cuz I think he performed this song 2x and then his next single on his 3rd appearance. I could be wrong, though. It has been a few years.
@lbCharmed1 The song that Frank Stallone performed on his 3rd appearance was "Darlin". It was the opening number of that episode in the spring of 1984.

Wow!!! The start of season 4...I think in this episode was the last time Alexander appeared before Cooley substituted him.

@ronafer69 - yup, I also posted episode 3 with Shandi singing "He's A Dream" and Cooley is in that show. So this was Alex's farewell appearance.
