  • Only if I was born a good 30/40 years earlier :/

  • The sad thing is that its the bootleg stuff that really showcases Led Zeppelin in their full Live glory. Their official releases, whilst good really do not explain to todays masses why Zep were THE live band of the 70's and the very reason why they conquered the world!!!

  • PAGE!!!!

  • This cover alone - probably conceived as an afterthought or spur of the moment - sounds better than anything out today or in the last 15 years......Plant's powerful, high and primal singing.....Bonham's heavy drumming, brilliant fills and timing.....wow, these guys were just untouchable.

  • I have a tape of the 6 19 72 show in Seattle where they do Everyday oeople after "Louie Louie" for the encore

  • Led Zeppelin always makes everything amazing

  • QUE LUJO ESCUCHARLOS A LOS ZEPPELIN, A VOZ DE PLANT!! GRACIAS POR SUBIRLO!!!!!

  • G Major

    C Major

    D Minor

    Fun song to jam with...

Jam on the scale G minor, yes it works...

  • If anyone could clean up the audio hear and repost this that would be amazing!

  • @mapscannotcontainme sorry man this is as good as its gonna get

  • taken out cuz stolen

  • @JOEZEPPI1968

    stolen? wtf? you mean copyright...

  • @JOEZEPPI1968 In that case, everytime you play another bands song on the guitar, its stolen too. Its not stealing if your covering a song live. If Zep recorded it, released it on Zep Physical Graffitti and said it was written and arranged by them, then yeah...your argument is valid. But...its not!

  • @thenobs123 when he dies the music goes with him and so much stolen nothing more will be released

  • @JOEZEPPI1968 no dumbass its not like his house will just be there untouched when he dies. the stuff will go to other members and family who will release it to make money off him, it always happens.

  • WHEN THE LEVEE BREAKS

  • lol this song I know why they didnt release this they were trying to be funny lol

  • i love the guy in the audience that yells "When the levee breaks!"

  • james patrick page why wouldnt you release this!!

  • LOL. It was something special that night that half the audience was probably too baked or drunk to remember which is tragic. Listen to stand by me from their 10.09.72 concert take on stand by me/time of the season.

  • @brandontylerkaiser he doesn't own the rights to these songs. he'd have to okay it with the songwriters; which is a process, to say the least.

  • nfsfreak72> Wasn't that in 1970 in Denmark?

It's just plain wrong that they didn't release it on How The West. Probably contractual problems.

  • @myse1f No he owns it all it wouldn't be because of a contract. It's most likely because of the audio and problems remastering it, etc. But you never know.

  • RELEASE THIS, JIMMY

  • RELEASE THIS, JIMMY

  • i hope they rerelease How the west was won and include this

  • No, it's all Robert Plant singing!

He has a special skill of changing his voice!

Look in each Led Zep, you have to notice Plant is not singing in the same way, but you know it's him!

No Quarter, Kashmir, Four Sticks, The Song Remains The Same... Plant does not sound the same in all of the songs I have mentioned, and etc, you can continue with all songs!

  • Ooo! Sorry!

Page is also singing the backup voice...

He can sing, just check out his song where he sings, pl;ay bass and guitar: She Just Satisfies!...

He's not in the range of Plant, but still... He can sing, not like me...

  • those solos are nuts! long live the mighty ZEP

  • even louie louie is an incredible song when zeppelin does it haha

  • Louie Louie is an incredible song covered by almost every rock band that ever was, dummy.

  • incredible? sure. and no one played it like zeppelin. so quit being a fun killer. my comment got 4 thumbs up so i'm pretty sure i've got a few people that agree with me. this is a great video so stop being a drainer.

  • The name "The Nobs" was used in 1969 when, after seeing the Led Zeppelin I album cover, Eva Von Zeppelin threatened to pull one of their concerts off the air. they quickly changed the name of their band to "The Nobs" to evade a lawsuit.

  • Why "The Nobs"?

    Is it the bootleg name?

  • 0:16 When the levee breaks!

  • hahah thats pretty sweet...

  • Oh but plant sings the really high bits, obviously...

  • Bonzo sings the first bit. "i'd like to turn your attention to john bonham..."

Bonzo was the backup singer of the band. He sings the harmony bits to bron yr aur and the ocean. Theres a clip of jpj singing somwhere and it seems as if his voice is the one instrument he cant master...

  • well jpj sang backup live on battle of evermore, but i thought he said john paul jones at the beginning not bonham

  • He did say John Paul Jones.

  • yeh meaning for the keyboards

  • i think jonesy sings a part on thank you i'm not positive though

  • awesome

  • my god that's a huge setlist!!!! must have been a 4 hour show!!!!!!

  • Its clearly Plant singing, fantastic

  • could be jonesy,

dosent sound like plant or page,

  • that's jonesy starting out on the vocals!!!!! cool

  • no its not...

  • ...Jonesy could not sing like that. Go listen to The Battle of Evermore from 1977..

  • Cheers to that brother

  • good lord that's amazing!

  • oooh..zep never ends!

  • its on the CD presence so yea

  • Do you have access to their cover of Hearbreak Hotel during the Whole Lotta Love medley? I have wanted to hear that since How the West Was Won came out.

  • AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!! DUDE U HAve 2 Tell ME were U Get These BootLEGS!!

  • Just goes to show Zeppelin can play any damn song and make it sound amazing.

  • you couldn't be more on the money

  • i love how the west won, plants voice was the best here

  • You should hear Dublin 71 his voice was amazing that night too.

  • k ill look into it

  • the best ever was southampton, 22nd January, 1973.. unbelievably fantastic all of them were..

  • yeah but on this show for othafa plant sang louder its the only version ive heard where he actually like screams out the lyrics rather than just singing them softer

  • Ahah! JPJ did get attention! ;D

  • This is fantastic! thanks very much for posting this, I think it would be grand if like 'How the West Was Won' was rereleased with 'Louie Louie'/'Everyday Poeple', JPJ's organ solo, 'Thank You' and 'Communication Breakdown' as bonus tracks, does anyone agree?

  • yeah that would be sweet.

  • Those illustration of the band look weird. The most normal looking one is the Robert Plant one. and the John Paul Jones one just looks fucked up!

Ah, but more importantly, this is a good song!

  • thank you great stuff!!!

  • How do you play this? Can someone tell me the chords for guitar?

  • G, C, D

  • I Major

    IV Major

    V Minor

  • I Major

    IV Major

    V Major

  • The five chord is actually minor. Google louie louie chords.

  • It'll work either way. Play it with power chords and add some killer lead to it and it'll sound good.

  • the V minor is the secret everybody seems to forget

  • Is that Jonsey singing in the begining?

  • no just plant...Jonsey would have just staued true to the keyboard

  • Actually, I just got a hold of a book detailing every show ever played by Zeppelin and while I believe that's Plant at the beginning, it says Page sings backup vocal on this song.

  • ...I cant really tell where Page is singing, could you tell me at what times he is??

  • Possibly during the chorus, the "Louie Louie" parts, but I'm not positive.

  • Oh, thanks :)

  • @physicalgrafiti12345 it's page!

  • Do you have "Thank You" from this concert?

  • and thank you please!!!

  • do you have communication breakdown from this show?

  • no not yet, im dowloading it atm

  • you should upload it when you can.

  • wow roberts getting those high notes like nothing

  • Damn I love this. Bonzo pounding away like a jackhammer, the keyboards etc. Wonderful.
