Hmm... I started reading some of Stephen Kings books when I was 11, but I would never dream of taking on "It" at that age! If you don't mind me asking, exactly how old are you? If you read Stephen King at such a young age, you'll probably have high chances to get good grades when it comes to language.
The Stand is actually really inconsistent--great in parts, very slow in others--Dreamcatcher, Insomnia, Rose Madder, Misery, and Cell are all very good--The Dark Tower books are among King's best..
