64 bit is the faster version because it can handle larger amounts of memory/RAM. The 32-bit can only handle a maximum of 3.5GB of RAM. While the 64-bit can handle a maximum of 28GB of RAM. Thats the difference in a nut shell. BTW I have the 64-Bit version of Windows 7 Ultimate

Well windows 7 is vista based so software developers wont have to create new codes like they did for vista, plus windows 7 introduces a new gui and but some security updates and not much more, furthermore i have modded windows vista themes with 7 and there is not much difference, windows 7 is though some what faster
