  • in a reenforced warehouse one of the characters says: "they still know were around here and more will come. i saw one with its entire face missing i could even see its brain barely even held in the skull, it had no jaw or teeth, its throat was half hanging out of its neck and it still followed me and tried to eat me, a well thrown rock splashed whats left of the brain all over the street, they are like migrating animals, they just know which way to go"

  • one of the best parts was a inner monologue of a person undergoing zombie transformation, he would hallucinate being burned alive (severe fever) and losing everything he cared about everything going away, envelopment in darkness and despair, then seeing a living person immediately envying their life, the simple logic becomes clear, a way out of the pain, devour the light to regain your humanity, they dont need eyes, ears or a nose to find, you they sense your soul

  • end credits: a smile ALWAYS comes to my face when i hear that music, i picture roger sliding down the escalator and all the rest of their lighthearted looting freinzy... good times

  • George "A Fucking Genius" Romero =]

  • RESPECT!

  • @SenorsClub Then you obviously have no taste in films

  • i love how he usually never explains why the dead come back, movies depicting gasses, radiation, viruses and other chemical weapons are gay. vodoo is kind of lame too but mostly just because of sloppy writing

  • @UniteForgetLeftRight in night it was radiation, in dawn it was a virus, you just called 2 of the greatest films on earth gay, good job

  • @MrDavidX96 the romero's dawn of the dead never gave an explanation, i would know i watch that movie at least once a month, all romero's movies speculate but never give a concrete answer

  • @UniteForgetLeftRight true, i was refering to the line "we are treating this like a virus" which to me makes sense: viruses are generally incurable and must have time to reproduce themselve and spread to the brain. but of course that would also make sense with ratiation excepts, How does it spread from 1 to another w/out prolonged exposure? and most microorganisms are curable. chemicals and a virus make the most sense but i hate return of the living dead 2 much 2 admit that

  • @MrDavidX96 i prefer to think of it as a supernatural plague myself, like a wrath of god 10 plagues of egypt type thing, they have lost their souls and devour the living to try to get one back. the very condition defies biology anyway, rotting coagulated blood cannot flow oxygen to the muscles to facilitate movement, and peter did say when theres no more room in hell the dead will walk the earth

  • @UniteForgetLeftRight true, im not especially partial to supernatural undead because, when you kill 'em, why caint they come back? but im too tired to rgue with you so i'll just say this: u raise a good point, and hell spilling over is better than return of the living dead. have a good one

  • @MrDavidX96 well return does not deserve or ask to be taken as seriously, its just silly, fun and its got titties in it!!!

  • @UniteForgetLeftRight i watched it on tv, so it was silly, fun, and had -CENSORED- in it:( but i still like the scene where a zombie is practicly singing "brains, brains, brains" and it was the first horror flick i watched that wasnt frightening, at all. i was 11 when i saw it(actually im not sure abuot that, i may have been 12, im bad with time, anyways, i was younger)

  • @MrDavidX96 i remember reading a zombie short story where whoever got bitten died and turned into a zombie but not everyone that died of other causes turned into one and a religious character suggested that the damned are the only ones that come back, medical personnel doing experiments on them noted that other than the slow decay there is no evidence of a pathogen or foreign substance and no way to explain how rotting tissue continues to function its not romero endorsed but i liked

  • He is a horror godfather for a reason...he made the most influential horror film of all time. He is the reason I want to be a horror director/writer. He makes good horror films that arent just scary, but they also have some sort of social commentary in them. He makes statements about our culture while making a great movie. Plus, he has remained mostly independent from mainstream hollywood, which means he retains total control of his films.

  • poor George... He got put in a Treyarch game... :(

  • how would george romero feel about the youtube videos on how to kill him?

  • Could his glasses be any fucking bigger?

  • hes alot taller as a zombie

  • I bet black ops brought alot of poeple here no joke.

  • @SenorsClub ur a retard

  • @CloneCaptain123 george?

  • @the3rdclone you

  • Y cnt I kill him

  • He's not so bad of a guy when he's not trying to kill you

  • always loved Romero's movies, when I seen that he was gonna be part of a zombie map in Call Of Duty, I almost shit myself at the prospect! Warms my heart that in this interview he wears the same clothes as his computer-generated counterpart!

  • George is electric FTW.

    (Call of the dead)

  • CALL OF THE DEAD

  • he should direct a movie titled "Call of the Dead" with all of the zombie characters

  • Zo0mbie attack sitting with your family ..............Fuck you guys im goin 2 George A Romeros house

  • seeing this guy and playing zombies this guy doesn't mess

  • since the new zombie map i would be to scared to go near him affraid he smack my brains out with a electric thingy

  • Dose he know he is in call of duty?

  • @RunescapeVids351 no, they just chucked him in there without his permission. Oh! and they were inspired by him aswell, he didn't know about that eighther.

  • @RunescapeVids351 he knows.

  • @Xgametracer black man glasses 2 because in the 60's wasn't any brand or style choose...i guess am young lol

  • wtf is up wit the eletric thing in call of the dead

  • dear zombie jesus his glasses are huge

  • lol, hes in Call of the dead

  • Once George A Romero turns into zombie we can't kill him, because he should roam the earth as a zombie who created the zombie horror genre! Long live George A Romero.

  • George Romero, you are a Legend in horror. But...I'm sorry.....Diary of the Dead was fucking horrible. still like everything else. Even Survival i liked. But diary was really bad. Love Ya George :DD

  • @ChrisR2131 let me tell you something,, some movies you have to watch more than one time before you apreciate them.

  • @nando90210 how many times? cause I've watched that fucking movie over ten times....still shitty. Care to explain?

  • can somebody tell me why he doesn't "own" his old movies anymore?

  • the ending music brought back some memories

  • he could make a movie about how everybody's shit becomes infected, and if u get bitten by poop, you become infected...and i would STILL watch it, because it has George A Romero's name in the credits :)

(but yes that would be his 1st awful movie).

  • Now that´s a really great guy. I know just watching his interviews.

    Love his movies! : )

  • Does he have any children with the same zombie film making skills as him?

  • Yeah, he seems like a hardcore Alcoholic now. I got that impression big time from watching Diary of the Dead. Sad to say.

  • If I had George Romero's glasses, Chuck Norris' beard, and Steven Seagal's pony tail, I would be GOD!!!!

  • @generalcircle naw man, romeros beard, norris' physiqu and a compilation of his and segals moves

  • Seems humble by super intelligent and unique

  • George is always so humble... you can tell the guy just wants to make movies and practice his craft ~ there's no ego involved. Critics be damned, I hope he always finds the bucks to do just that; he's earned the right to just do his own thing.

  • If I could meet any living man, it would be George. He is just brilliant.

  • happy birthday george

  • I think Night was brilliant a cult classic.

Dawn is a masterpeice it's epic.

Day is quite good for progressing the idea

Land was brilliant as a piece of fear factor

    Diary felt a little rushed.

  • Diary of the dead is the worst movie he's done. Step it up george.

  • It's his best, very realistic, besides, Andrew Maxwell is GOD

  • Maxwell was probably THE BEST character in all Romero's zombie movies. I wish I could have such teacher when I was still at school xP

  • @Myrth1 In war, natural disasters, epidemics, zombie outbreak, we shall always have our salvation in cynicism and the bourbon.

  • He was not cynical. Alcoholic, for sure. But not cynical. Rather "weared off" by life. Huge difference. And no offence, but even as you describe him as cynical alcoholic, he was still the most reasonable person from whole "team" Which I think is far more important than his addiction or attitude. Because he was amicable.

  • @Myrth1 You do know what cynical is right? Virtue over all, the importance of art, all that stuff, like when he saw the book of tail of 2 cities.

  • Right, just recall that he prefer bow and ornament sword as "a weapon of choice"... But I think it's my personal weakness for such kind of teachers. My History teacher in high school was almost the same kind of person, exept he was almost constantly smoking, not drinking. And he was the best Teacher [capital letter is important here] I've ever had. Kind of GTM - Great Teacher Mamcarczyk xDDD

  • And what about Andrew Maxwell? His character made the show

  • It certainly is!!! He used 2 be such a god damn genius...I think he tries too hard these days......he wants 2 b "relevant", and he forgets that he should just let it happen and take the piss

  • holy fucking god hes glasses is soo big!

  • it would be nice to meet him in person ...

  • he's actually a really nice guy. I met him in Canada

  • lucky you , i gues its lots of fun with a guy who makes zombie movies

  • genius.. enough said

  • george a. romero is the greatest creator of the best horror movies ever!! this past year in 2009 i have been going through so much in my life. but his movies make me think hey not everyone's life is all rainbows and butterflies. sometimes situations are put on us.

  • sorry i wasn't finished pressed the wrong button haha. Do not take anything for granted and do not under estimate the power of life. cuz if u don't live it with joy and w/ what u have to be thankful for.. u don't know what will happen next!

  • All respect to Carpenter,Craven,Argento,S.King but Romero is a truly living LEGEND,I don't see

anyone younger going his steps because today

only 5% of Zombie movies that didn't direct G.Romero are good .

  • Jesus! His glasses are huge!

  • lmao!

  • It's a great movie. :D

  • that was awesome thanks for that!

  • the movie is lame, I am watching it at the moment, about an hour into it...bored.

  • i loved this movie i liked it better than land of the dead

  • worst film in the series

  • Roflmfao. What about land of the dead?

  • when zombies take over the world the only people that would survive are those who watched or know how to handle a zombie apocalypse

thank you very much George A. Romero now i know how to handle a zombie fight

  • I love George A. Romero and I look up to him so much! I want to meet him so badly! <3

  • Comment removed

  • Better be fuckin theatrical...Every zombie film he makes needs to be theatrical. This movie was the shit!!! Love the farmer scene

  • ive seen it its sobad

  • it is awful, the acting is the worst,a film too far methinks!

  • i wonder when he was a kid did people call him crazy for these ideas he had for movies, cause they call me crazy!!!

  • either when he dies or 2012 one or the other

  • i agree :D

  • God like, Gorge A Romero, should live on until he is like 200 years old why, I need to clench my thirst of zombie movies until I die. But it has to be a new movie at least every three to four years Godlike Gorge, he will rise as a zombie!!!

  • @BarmielNagisa he all ready did in the NEW C.O.D zombies map: the call of the dead

  • hes pretty old? :P , but hes fukin sick ;) , GO ROMERO GO =D

  • he turned 69 this year

  • What a glasses if you stay in front of him in a sunny day he will burn yout shirt :D:D That was just joke his movies are very cool.

  • he wears glasses that big because he is a man a great vision, his zombie movies are the best!!!!!!!!!

has he ever reveald why theres zombies in his movies, is it a virus or something? or is hell really full lol

  • damn right thats one of my favorite quotes of all time when hell is full the dead will roam the earth, where was that from anyways

  • that was from i think his first one which was dawn of the dead its the one where they take refugge in the mall

  • George A. Romero reminds me of Stan Lee. But with long hair ;)

  • george is a living legend

  • @punksk8rnik

not in black ops, then he's a undead legend.

  • @punksk8rnik a living dead legend :P george romero is the god of horror movies

Return of the living dead (1)

    Resident evil

    Resident evil apacolypse

    And

    Diary of the dead.

  • wow. Im 17 and I have only seen Shaun of the dead. Mabye coz i hate horror films. I gotta watch this one thought :P

  • yeah throatslitta is right.....also watch 28days l8r!! resident evil 1 and 2 where pretty good but 3 got a little carried away in my opinion

  • try dawn of the dead and 28week later, they are my favorites.

  • Check out Day of the Dead and Dawn of the Dead (both the Romero versions) 70's and 80's. Those are classics.

  • liberals always take offense to Fox? i don't get it? they have CNN, NBC/ MSNNBC, ABC, NBC and up here in Canada they have CBC, then liberals also have 90 percent of newspapers and other media, so who should be complaining? seems like Liberals are scared of Fox! MUHA HA MUHA HA HA HA!

  • i loved diary, it was best movie.

And i loved the montage when they practiced shotgun on dead.

  • Whoa look at those shades.

  • he reminds me of allan quatermain played by sean connery in lxg

  • Happy Birthday George.

  • huge glasses or what lol

  • George A Romero kicks ass his a god of zombie horror movies

  • I LOVE THIS MAN!!! I grew up with his films:)

  • If only George Romero and Stephen King could do another Creepshow! If you get the rights to Creepshow you can actually kibosh the cheap sequel that was made, which would technically make Ana Clavell's

and James Glenn Dudelson's sequel an unsanctioned sequel. Do it! I would watch another Creepshow if you guys made it. I love Creepshow 1 and 2. I don't have any problem with the raft sequence. Everybody says it looks hoaky. CGI would have been nice but they did there best with what they had.

  • Mans a gore MASTER!!!! Well him and old Tommy

  • normally youd think he would be some creepy gorehound teenager who loves gore ,but he san old man ,i respect that!

  • i love his work, but diary was very weak... he should do something familiar to dawn of the dead... before he dies

  • big glasses 0_0

  • i like his dawn of the dead

  • Is there any need for glasses that big?! But he's made some great films I'll give him that. Legend!

  • Well, he's getting old. You can't really help it. lol

  • I can't wait for the day that I get to wear glasses THAT big..lol

  • Haha!

  • I love him!

  • not to hate but his glasses are really big O__O

  • i have a question why in every dead movie i think execpt day of the dead and land is that there based in PA is George From Pa i hope cause i live in central pa

  • Hes from pittsburg

  • why r his glasses so big???? love his movies

  • did george make resident evil if no who did

    Paul Anderson did!

  • Does anyone else think he looks like Stan Lee

  • lol yeah he does a bit hey hahaha your funny

  • did george make resident evil if no who did

  • No. That was Paul Anderson, same guy who did the first Mortal Kombat movie and Event Horizon.

  • Search 'Resident Evil' on imsdb (internet movie script database) for a script of George Romero's version, should still be on there. They went with Paul Anderson in the end, but Romero's script is pretty awesome too, and features the characters from the games

  • Diary of the Dead was an enjoyable movie. A lot better than these modern horror movies, torture porn.

  • Romero is a very charismatic person.

  • george a romero fuckin rules!!!!

  • fuck you it's one of his best films, who agrees??

  • So you're judging his entire career on one movie? Diary of the Dead is actually quite a good film-not brilliant, but far better than most of the other crap they bring out these days, complete with about 7 sequels

  • No I got a message back form a fan of his saying something like "of course diary of the dead is bad, all his dead films are" Its in my comments if you'd like to see.

  • Well, this 'fan' is wrong. The 'Dead' films are probably the most famous zombie films ever made, certainly among the mainstream. The reason for this is because they are good movies-he wouldn't have become one of, if not the, biggest name in the genre otherwise. This isn't just my opinion, either-look at how successful the films have been. If this guy doesn't like Romero's 'Dead' films, I'd question his status as a Romero fan, personally

  • Trade mark glasses. All that's missng is a cig.

  • Cool dude, unfortunately a terrible movie.

  • oh, it wasnt that terrible. give credit where crdit is due.

  • He's a good concept writter with some worthy social comentary, but unforunately, his execution is not that great. I'm a fan of his movies but not a blind one. I think he may have to step back and let other more talented people he trusts to direct/organize his future movies, while he stays on as writter.

  • the last words of the film

"are we worth saving?" just genius

  • viva george romero soy fanatico del el mire todas su pelis,te felicito x el video desde argentina

  • NOT A COMEDY
