  • The 1430's numbered DA's were the first to be let loose on the Limited's as they had the 26C/L self maintaining brakes. Not so good at stopping when running light engine as they only had brake shoes on the leading and traling driving wheels of each bogey. A trap for the uninitiated! Great memories.
