I feel this composition of the Gang Plank Galleon theme is very under-appreciated, especially in comparison to the SNES version which had a more rock 'n roll-ish 2nd half.
Both versions are great, but I think kudos goes to the 8-Bit version for sounding off as more than just a Boss Theme, to the point it can be used in a stage also (and it did, in Donkey Kong Land) xD
Hey everybody! I have released my new album 'Progenitor' which has electronic music inspired by great game series such as Donkey Kong Country. You can check it out and download it for free on my youtube channel if you're interested!
The GBC version was actually the first version of this game that I played.
Anyway, when I "beat" K. Rool, and when he just JUMPED at me and killed me, I thought I beat the game. Then, I saw my older brother fighting him and he DODGED that jump, but then after he kept dying I took over later, and prolly after dying 1 miyon times I won. That felt so damn satisfying, probably because of the victory song.
I always get a sense of accomplishment when I hear good music after beating a stage I suck at
I like this version of GPG the most, mostly because it continues from the 1st half of the original theme, which I loved much better than the 2nd half. It was okay, and it did match the theme of a final boss, just, I dunno, I like the first half better >.>
Great video, If you need any help getting your videos or channel exposed, i use a service called thetubeviews . net it has helped 5 of my videos get ranked on the first page

Ahh, this is such a happy tune. Romping around the jungles, strolling on our merry way. =)

I also think that this theme should be remixed by someone :O (As I don't have the skills to do it myself :().

@Anthon1996 I know what you mean, K.Rool has a bad habit of playing dead and the ending was satisfying to see after being stuck on K.Rool for so long

This was the version of Donkey Kong Country I had.....never made it to the end of the game. Lost it. :(
But I'm playing the SNES version right now.....either the SNES version is harder, or I've just lost my touch in games. :/

@Kindacute13
The Game Boy Color one autosaved after each stage, that's probably part of it.
Of course, DKC isn't exactly easy.
