@Caparzoshow I know, it's nuts what the Sega Saturn can do with just 4 extra megs of RAM. Makes you wonder what else it could have done with even more RAM.

the game im talking about in the intro has like a giant stone face on the other side of the screen and its moving around

if you odnt know what im talking about it starts at 0:34 and ends at 0:35

Yes indeed, it is a shooter developed by the one and only Cave called "Death Smiles". Very fun game and one of Cave's few horizontal shooters.

At the moment, it's only available for the import 360, but Cave has hinted they may localize it sometime in the future. I'm crossing my fingers.

I notice the song when you show the game's description (segment end) is from Dragon Valor on PS1, if I remember correctly.

That would be a great underappreciated game to review.

I love Substance TV. You guys review the not so famous games, I don't know about 80% of the games you've reviewed till now... I usually go for the "big name games" because you can be more or less sure you get your money's worth but you guys helped me find these brill games! I've bought 3 games you've reviewed (Power Stone, Urban Reign, Gunstar Super Heroes) and I love them!

btw Astro Superstars looks ridiculously good!!! Never knew the Saturn was that good. Gotta get both :P!

i would like to get it just for the gaming experience but then again i guess the prices are that high because it's hunted by collecters... so i think i'll pass unless i turn filthy rich.

I'm hoping one day to see this and a PSN or XBLA download. I'm not sure who owns the rights to what, but it would be amazing for more people to have a chance to play this game. For now, I guess you have to be, as timmni said, filthy rich.

Amen brother! The price of Astra can be rediculous. Not cheap by any means, but well worth it for under a hundred bucks. If you see it for more, just say no! I bought mine for $80 and at the time I thought that was bad. There are too many sellers on ebay who are trying to shaft people. Thanks for your great input and for checking out our vids!

Great show, liked it. I completely disagree about the controls in Castlevania X being well-done (sooo stiff and awkward!) but everything else was very rational reasonable while still portraying personal likes and dislikes.

Great production values for just an internet show. I'm subscribing, so I guess I'll be seeing you guys next month!

I guess I will have to try out the Wii version of Jungle Beat. I liked the GCN version but it does sound like the Wii version is even better.

Well... I really liked Jungle Beat, even if hitting the bongos got really tired after a while, it was still fun... so I'll pass on the Wii version

And Dracula X was super cool.. really hard, but still awesome

Like I said, I think the Gamecube version is really fun, and since I don't own a Wii at the moment I still play the GC to death, but there were some really nice changes in the Wii version. If nothing else, I would suggest giving it a rental to try it out for yourself. If for nothing else to know which one you like better.

I´ll have to agree with your opinion on the Castlevania game there. Sure, there´s the lag in the jumps, but you can see through that. I also have noticed that the music really does makes up for it. I haven´t seen the original on pc-engine since, let´s face it, I wasn´t into that kind at all so I missed that period, but that game at least shines with the themes and music is a big part of a game. As for the show itself, I think you nailed it pretty good despite the time it took. ^_^ d
