  • Love the iPhone glove! Far as I'm concerned there is only one smart phone and that's the iPhone!

  • fantastic!

  • Where did you get the conductive thread?

  • nice =)

  • i'd just use my nose. nice video.

  • ...what is "conductive thread"? Like a thin wire?!?

  • I love how she starts out by referring to "capacitive screens" but calls these "iPhone Gloves". Wow.

  • why not just put the glove on your left hand to sew it?

  • @houseofkrazees96 just sew it ON TOP of your nails.. or you'll end up with the contacts on the upper side of your glove...

  • Annoying how you call them iPhone Gloves when of course they work with any touch screen. iPhone is not THE smartphone to which all other smartphones are compared. It was just the first. Can you imagine if all car companies lowered their quality down to Ford's simply because it was the first.

  • @JaysonCasy I love you start out sounding like you're about to make a great point, but then prove EXACTLY why people do as she did. The iPhone was NOT the first smartphone by any standard. It wasn't the "first" for much of anything except that it brought lots of things together, but then again, missed just about as many things initially as it brought to the table. The reason it's so well known is because Apple is incredibly good at marketing to the masses. That's really all.

  • @rainabba I meant that it was the first successful model with staying power and resembles better those that we use today. Computers were invented long before the 80's but people don't really worry about those when talking about its history.

  • you should have fixed the other side of the inside thread piece too so it keeps in place. also gloves are gay.

  • you don't need to do this for my LG touch screen phone it works to use gloves or the finger nail already :D Haha!

  • I wonder if she poked herself with the needle in the process.

  • ive seen people do this by rubbing some Arctic Silver cpu heatsync into the fingertips

  • I always use my nose :D

  • or u could just use a bit of glue

  • just put a bit of thermal paste on the tip of the glove.

  • why not just put it on your left hand incorrectly and sew up your index fingernail?

  • Ok, So now my hand wont come out of the glove... and there is blood everywhere? What did I do wrong?? Help!

  • @Huntereich Best comment ever.

  • @Huntereich #LOL

  • I have no idea, but i think if you leave it alone everything shuld be fine. :)

  • this is awesome!!!

  • Funny, I'm left handed so watching you sew it looked perfectly natural; the difficulty of what you were doing didn't hit me till you mentioned it. For whatever reason I actually do my phone tapping with my right hand like that, preferring to hold my phone in my left hand. Do most right handers touch tap the screen with their right hand?

  • Yessssss!!!! Great idea!!

  • I'd love to make this but it doesn't get cold enough in Australia to wear gloves.. well at least not where I am..

  • Brilliant! After Hancock fabrics had no idea what I was talking about, I bought 16 ft of thread on eBay's "Buy It Now" for $5.25. Took maybe 5 days over the holiday to get it in the mail today! So excited! It took me maybe an hour to do two pairs of gloves, with the second pair taking maybe only 15 min. IT WORKS!! Gonna take the needle/thread with me everywhere so I can do all my friends'!

  • Well color me excited, hopefully this conductive thread isn't more expensive than gloves with conductive fingertips (it probably isn't).

  • Wouldn't that be uncomfortable, Well i mean wouldn't you feel a lump on your finger all day?

  • Becky...this is awesome and love all your videos!

  • 3 people don't have a smartphone

  • Holy cow! I hope this works! Def doing it right away.

  • Why the heck do you have to do things left-handed? And she forgot that a large percentage of people are left-handed.

  • @feastures because she's right handed, and shes sewing onto her right-hand glove, so shes using her left hand.... And actually most people are right handed, not left.

  • Comment removed

  • or or you could use some CPU heat sink gel and not scratch your precious icrap......

  • @havocnuke9000 kipkay ftw! :)

  • @broetchenmampfer no yes kipkay has it but its an old geek trick since the gel simulates skin some what and is conductive fuck these internet whores

  • well a kipkay already did this

  • Nice, that only looks dangerous ALOT!

  • how did you get the materials while in the kitchen?

  • fucking brilliant I'll just go and get my conductive thread out of my wardrobe of items everyone has.

  • This is super cool!

  • they sell gloves that are compatible with your iphone and such at American Eagle for like $15

  • Couldn't you where the glove backward on your left hand making it possible to use your right had to do the work?

  • 手袋したままiPhoneやiPad使えるのはいいね〜。さっそく伝導性糸を注文しました。スキー用とかすべてのグローブにやってみようかな。

  • Will the conductive thread not conduct the cold and give cold fingers/thumbs?

  • so cool!

  • Neat for capacitor based users. Mine is a resistive screen. Anything pointy will do.

  • Or you could just blow on your fingertip like a normal lazy human being.

  • is there conductive cloth?

  • Scratch test anyone?

  • there is a better way to do this watch it on kipkay and his way doesnt leave scratches and you cant see it

  • Pretty cool. I'd do the middle finger as well for two finger scrolling, zooming, and gestures.

  • wow life sucks

  • wear your glove with your left hand, then sow with your right!

This is the awesomest thing ever. i live in -24 weather

  • 1:19 why not wear the glove on the other hand?

  • Love this. Also your nail polish! What kind is it?

  • I have much easier way to solve this issue

you know the Thermal Past that used in the processors of the pc

try to get a little bit of it in your fingers gloves, you will be able to use the touch screen easily rather than sewing and may cause injury.

    Thumb up for the others

  • @skiptaker u got that idea from kipkay!

  • @AndroidDevil ya your right his way works way better and you dont see anything also it doesnt leave scartches

  • So I start to watch this video on my iphone. I hear the iphone ring (on the video) and hang up to answer my phone! I'm a such goob. But seriously, great video!

  • Wouldn't this scratch your phone? :o

  • @ReeonZOID i don't think it would- i mean, it is still thread, right?

  • @ReeonZOID it thread...or string...not wire

  • @ReeonZOID No, because this is conductive thread. It's soft.

  • @ReeonZOID its a thread. its not wire

  • @ReeonZOID They have little self adhesive screen protectors you can purchase and put on the screen to protect it I believe.

  • @ReeonZOID Gotta have screen protector over your smartphone

  • @ReeonZOID The thread is actually kinda soft. It isn't too abrasive for your screen.

  • @ReeonZOID Hasn't so far!

  • Last night my friend and I were cursing self check out screens and how you had to take off your glove. Case solved. Thank you!

  • Will this work on the scrolly thing on my ipod nano??

  • I just bought some conductive thread to do just this yesterday, before this video came up. Now I know exactly what to do when it arrives.

  • very clever! =D

  • The cosplayers thought of this first lol

  • My phone and mp3 with a toutch screen works just fine with my leather gloves..... Some times better than with my own fingers o___O

  • Very cool! I don't like touch screen phones though so I still have a phone with regular buttons :) Works perfectly with or without gloves!

  • This is awesome, and it would be such an easy present, too.

  • This is awesome!!!

  • Where would one buy conductive thread?

  • @HeavenleeMe Check the link in the description!

  • @craftzine I am wondering if string can scrach your screens even if there is a screen protecture

  • @HeavenleeMe In the Maker Shed search for LED sewing kit

  • oh my gosh this is perfect! This will be my first winter with a smart phone, and I was literally going out this weekend to see if i could buy some gloves with the conductive finger pads. This is a million times better! Thanks!

  • that's freakin creative.

  • i'm so gonna try this

  • you are a babe

  • This is really clever. :) I hope I can find conductive thread so that I can do this.

  • I love you, Becky Stern.

  • hahaha i use my nose if i just need to answer my iPhone and i'm wearing gloves

  • What kind of thread? Where to get? I sooooo need to do this to mine!

  • Really Cool :D

  • really clever:D

  • You should get a patent on this and sell it to Apple I would take this video down and get started on your millions now!

  • Heheheh Android compatible too XD
