  • Any thoughts on doing a tasting of Samichlaus, really great in my opinion. Be careful, it is extremely strong. Though it is an excellent beer and would go perfect with a desert, but it is still a great drink on it's own.

  • Smells like a dimebag...

    "We wouldn't know"

    Yes you do.

  • yall gotta review Midas Touch by Dogfish Head. i personally love it but would be real interested to hear your review on it.

  • @encdee I have Midas Touch in the fridge right now. I've really been enjoying it. We probably won't be reviewing it soon, but we are traveling to Dogfish Head this weekend, so I hope you will tune in for the video of that.

  • So I wanted to try the beers on the list that I have not tried. I got Dave's Pale Ale today and it is actually really good, I am surprised since it comes in a can.

  • @MrCrim123 That beer should convince everyone that being in a can is not a bad thing. It's awesome. One of my favorites. Buy it in a can, drink it in a glass.

  • just ship me over with the mob and me from Australia and lets have a beer comp

  • @SuperCroweater I'm having trouble understanding you with that Australian accent. :)

  • great show, could fill 2012 with a beer off comp of home brewer's

  • I like the amount of IPA's in your top ten. But Hopslam should be ranked a little higher, over racer 5 and dales Pale ALe for sure.

  • @PbNAphasia I'll be the first to admit its not a perfect system. Hopslam may have been hurt by the fact that we reviewed it so early in the year.

  • i love hennepin, and ommegang beers in general.

and yes, sump'm sump'm really is outstanding.

next time i'm up north i'll have to remember some of your picks that i can't get down in florida.

  • @nypoet22 Next time your up north, don't forget your mittens! I'm jonesing for a trip to Florida. I want to hit the Everglades and the Keys. Where are you at?

  • @AgileHProductions i'm about ten minutes from the everglades, an hour or so from the keys and south beach. let me know when you're down. hell, film a beer review, i'll be the guest taster :)

  • @nypoet22 Nice. I will keep that in mind when I book a flight. I've been to South Beach once and loved it.

  • I only drink beers in the top ten list reviewed by the BBA.

And I drink them while I watch the reviews.

I have a case of Dogfish Head 120 IPA in my basement and I have just bought two six packs of Dale's Pale Ale. I hope I find the rest...

    Yum.

Let's hope you review Sam Adams Utopias some day. I'd like to drink that.

  • @IanDrG I love your dedication. Did you really buy a case of 120? You must be wealthy! :) Can you be my benefactor?

I've heard mixed reviews of Utopias. I want to try it, but it might not make the Top 10.

  • I am just spoiled living in Cali, haha. I wanna try some Ohio beers, and beers beyond Colorado. Here are the best Cali IPAs: Alpine Brewing Exponential Hoppiness, Bad Boy, Pure Hoppiness, and Duet. Kern River 5th anniversary and Citra. Bootleggers Knuckle Sandwich. Russian River Pliny the Younger. Bear Republic Racer X (DIPA). Just so spoiled out here ;-) My favorite session beer of 2011, and 2010 for that matter is Sierra Nevada Celebration. A simple regular IPA that is just amazing

  • @fikes73 You should try some beer from Great Lakes or Hoppin' Frog. Those are probably the two most prestigious breweries in Ohio at the moment.

  • @fikes73 Not as spoiled as were are here in Chicago ;)

  • Good list...but to me Loose Cannon has to be in that top 10!

  • @KixRules1 Love the Loose Cannon, but like the Black Cannon even more. A few of usfrom the BBA are going to the Heavy Seas Oyster Festival in February, can't wait.

  • @dhartogs I love the Black Cannon too and they should have that out soon. I went to the Heavy Seas Beer and Oyster Festival last February and loved it..had 3-4 beers on cask in addition to all the Heavy Seas beers...try the Loose Cannon in a Firkin in they have it again this year...was absolutely amazing last year! Wish i could go this year but am out of town. Enjoy and Cheers!

  • @KixRules1 They will have Black Cannon and a Firkin at the festival. Any tips on how to get the most out of it? I've already secured a DD.

  • @dhartogs Get there a little early (20 minutes or so) and stand in line outside the brewery. Once you get inside and back to the actually brewery, grab a table and stake your claim...seating is a premium at this event. They will have so many oysters from all over you will love it! Oh and the Beer is pretty darn good too!

  • @KixRules1 Thanks for the tip! Can't wait!

  • When i turned 21 and attempted my start into beer snobbery I could not stand IPA. Now at 23 I can not get enough of them! So glad to see some I haven't tried in the list. My favorites this year are: Dogfish Burton Baton, New Glarus Moon Man, Full Steam Sweet Potato Lager and Southern Tier Mocha Stout.

  • i can not wait for the year of IPA to be over! i am a malt head, not a hop head. this year everyone seemed to add as many hops as they could just trying to reach maximum IBU's

  • I can't believe Chimay wasn't in the top ten, that ale is so good it makes me want to give up video games and become a trappist monk. Seriously it's a bottled religious experience.

  • @1omAngryHawk The Chimay Red in my fridge seconds this.

  • I thought Pliny would have gotten first!

  • I think you guys have a great channel but you're all a bunch of goobers and make me feel awkward watching these videos.

  • why do you talk like that...

  • Very interesting list. Lagunitas doesn't get enough props in the craft beer world

  • Nice list, though id probably have Hopslam in my #1 spot. Looking forward to more vids in 2012...

  • Haha, you guys have come a long way. Time for an Arrogant Bastard re-review?

  • 2012 is gonna be 'reee-diculous' for the BBA...too much fun coming soon! My only question mark on this Top 10 of 2011 was Dale's Pale Ale...Knott. Cheers!

  • hints of anus

  • Wow what a year! I'm looking forward to more reviews. I would love to try the Pliny.

  • and btw i love chef!

  • keep up the great work guys

  • james! how are you doing?! i love your beer lists!!! keep m' coming!!!
