Looks like a good way to transfer. But I got caught in the beginning because when I went to computer and opened my Shuffle by name, I was told the folder is empty. Can't be true because I safely removed the Shuffle and now I'm listening to one song from the playlist I made in late 2009 ...

I'm tempted to try this. The video would be much more effective if you actually did it here. You say it works but its not demonstrated.

I agree with you Apple is evil. But mostly Apple is greedy. With all the money they make why don't they make it easy for people to add their ipod/phones to the PC.

I can't imagine how many people have erased their ipods by using the "sync" feature. This feature should be available in reverse.

@racheldhv once u drag and drop the song files from the folders, u cant move them to anyother place or itunes dont find them, ud have to relocate every song. itunes needs to recognize the source basically

so once u move the folders just keep them there "Music Folder" wud be the best place

so in ur case, im assuming u still have all the music folders on ur comp, delete all the songs in ur itunes library, then drag n drop the song files back in itunes. and dont move any of the music folders after

This is awesome! I purchased an albums worth of songs awhile back which I imported to Itunes and then to my Ipod. My computer crashed and my purchase was only available for me on my Ipod. @standback this is because you changed the location or deleted your desktop shortcut to the file containg the music, just drop the music back in itunes and it should work aain, after just dont change the folder location
