i was using coconut oil also and it had the same effect on my hair my grandma is from the virgin islands and she told me that coconut oil is a horrible moisturizer(?) but has other benefits such as strength and hair repair idk if this is true but she suggest olive oil and i do too it works miracles not only for hair but for skin and food too..... this is just food for thought

I am in my 11th month and my hair looks just like this right now. I am not sure how I am feelin about it neither. I'm not gonna take them down, but I sure as hell am not feeling them right now.

Your hair falls differently... the locs are thicker. So rather than growing down, they're growing out.

Just a random thought. Maybe the unraveling ends thing is b/c the hair is shrinking up and all the strands of hair aren't shrinking at the same time. Maybe maybe maybe. Just a middle of the night thought.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE UR VIDS! they r quite hilarious! im @ my 1yr and i had the same issue with my ends. they were like 90% curly ques and it was driving me CRAZY! so i cut them off. but ugly & i r best friends now. i was also at that point where i was not down but i just embrace it and now i'm in love with "ugly" strange ain't it lol :)

the lumps and bumps are normal. U started with tst so that's just the process of the locs forming. Just let them be.

Don't worry about it some lumps with disappear some will not. I still have lumps & bumps in some of my locs.

I had several curly loose ends and I had watch prettyboishai's video where she rolled the loose tips on the palm of her hand. So I did that for about 3 months after every wash and now my ends are nice and round. Any remaining loose ends I just cut. So take the ends and roll them on the palm on your hand until the end balls up. This will round your ends! Let me know how it works..

It appears to me that those ends are trying to seal... I love the fullness that I am seeing... You are in the critical crossroads where your babies are maturing... When they begin to condense that is a true sign of maturing :) It's getting cold lady...so please get on top of moisturizing. And yes... you have made this journey very fun :)

Also, I had that same problem with the abnormal loc (the one you want to comb out), I actually did that.... Big mistake. I combed it out, then cut it out when I was chopping off my loose ends, and now it's the smallest loc. I have so much loc regrets. That's I wanna start over some other time in my life.

Your hair is getting ready to morph into more of a formed loc. I was amazed when My hair REALLY changed. It seemed like and still does seem like it took on a life form and a consciousness all its own. It has personality and each loc is a different entity all its own. lol loc sista i dislike that phase of my locs when they started shrinking and actaully of two years of having my locs they still kinda shrink becasue mine be growng but sometimes looks the same length lol but its all good loc are beautiful in essence no matter what lenght. my hair is much thicker but I had ends that were soft too and I clipped them and once I washed my hair it shrunk in and that pretty much sealed them
