Playing Bass is totally different to guitar.

Bass Holds the song together by playing the bassline, where as the guitar plays the melody, so its a totally different skill.

Playing bands like fall out boy is easier compared to bands like Red Hot Chili Peppers. The Difference is Fall out boy plays the note equivalent to the chord, where as red hot chili peppers have a bass line.

But learning bass is as hard as learning any other instrument. but take my advice: LEARN BASS!!!
