  • great to have him in portland. he's starting to show his age though... got some bad ankles.

  • imagine if the injuries didnt pile up for this guy hes career would have been legendary but he is still a great player.

  • He was a great pick 1996 NCAA player of the year 6'11" Great rebounder, one of the best shot blockers ever, and can score and run the floor. They expected big things out of him. He still had a pretty good career and was always one of the top defensive players each year.

  • @MrJaredJammer are you serious? this is from 1996...

  • He was so inconsistent until like 2005. He was a great player in second part of his career.

  • Umass is my school

  • I loled at the weakness-------NEEDS TO ADD WEIGHT xDDDD

  • @MrJaredJammer Lmao, too funny. I'm assuming you're not serious.

  • @MrJaredJammer this is the 1996 nba draft...

  • @bmcent20 I caught that too. LOL!! Where was HE at??

  • dr dre

  • @MrJaredJammer Lol

  • Hartford REPRESENT!!!!!

  • ass hole

  • if raptors selected ray allen or kobe ,they would destroy every team in the nba

  • and the the #1 pick dunked on the #2 pick later that year

  • Still in great shape for his age with Portland. Future 40-year-old NBA player in a few years from now.

  • 1:43 Marcus Camby posting up Tim Duncan????

  • Big and Tall = Ugly Suits

  • MC is a good player. Not number 2 tho. But if they needed a big man thats a good pick.

  • Camby had more than a 'decent' career, he's had a very good career. He won a DPOY and is a career 12 rpg 3 bpg

  • @1:40 still one of the greatest play I've ever seen. Taps the ball out of #25 hands off the backboard for a put back dunk.

  • @Prop haha, i was about to comment on the same thing

  • raps traded him to knicks for oakley and cash,, one of many trades by the raps that traded good players for cash,,

  • damon stoudamire, camby, tmac and vince in 4 years. how come the raptors didnt win anything????

  • @SoMuchSpeed

    cuz we're toronto

  • Camby is one of those players who plays hard no matter what and his game will keep him in the league for the next few years. I wish the Raptors would pick him back up next season. Great blocker and rebounder and can still get it done offensively against lesser 5s.

  • yea

  • @coreybrewer135 "You add him at the Center Postion for the Raptures" who do u have? Chris Bosh lol... well not anymore

  • 1:44. Is Tim Duncan ?

  • Yeah that was Tim Duncan. He played at Wake Forest.

  • absolutely love marcus camby- hed be a great pickup for a contender before the trade deadline. hes an elite rebounder and shot blocker despite his age

  • Great call. Portland picked him up.

  • nash will be a HOF.. he's a 2 time MVP.. i think the only MVP not in the HOF is Bernard King (which is a travesty in itself).

Peja? LOL what are you smoking?

  • steve nash is not as acompleshed as the people that i just mention peja maybe i will replace peja and nash

  • I always though he looked like Dr. Dre

  • no 84 is better followed by 96 and 03 and here is why you have 4 hall of famers comming out of the 84draft olajowon, jordan, barkley, stockton 96 has 4 as well kobe, iverson ray allen and peja

  • @aokoebor2k7 peja won't be a hall of famer...steve nash got drafted #15, and he has a better chance of being a hall of famer then peja does

  • um, how about steve nash?

  • @aokoebor2k7 what about nash?

  • there are more intensity in NBA since the jordan era started and I agree on some of the bloggers mentioned that those years have passed had a better competition in drafting college players rookies and rising stars to MVPs and to the legends

  • Comment removed

  • 1996 of course 2003 is a joke after lebron and wade

  • Lol Camby still looked all wrinkly and old even back then :p

And which draft year was better? 2003 or 1996?

  • 96 is the best ever.....

only 1 mvp in 2003 so you cant call it a greate draft...

  • 84 is best then 96 then 03

  • But those three draft classes stand out the most.

  • @ShootAAppleOffMyHead 96>84&03 because 96 will probaly also have the same numbers of HOF (Nash, Iverson, Ray Allen, and KObe Bryant) as 84. But 96 has 10 All-Stars and Camby a DPOY and 84 only has 7.

Also 84 draft is filled with busts like Sam bowie, and Melvin Turpin

Out of the 3 1996 is the only in which the 2nd overall pick isn't a bust.

  • imagine we selected kobe :o

  • i agree...1996 was the best draft year ever...lots of superstars rose up from this year...

  • 1996 draft best draft ever the player may have been selected in the wrong order but best draft ever

  • its funny he got drafted ahead of nash and bryant

  • when you're an athletic 7 footer who could anchor a defense, it happens.

  • ya, but he did do a great job at rebounding and defense, what he was chosen for.

  • camby is great defensivly but#2 i dont know about that

  • got injured but recovered, stayed in the league because his rebound and block stats were always good.

  • The Toronto Raptors should have selected some other who is an all star player

    no offense

  • How could they have known he'd be injury prone? He was consistently healthy in college.

  • camby is good but #2 i dont know about that but hindsights 20\20

  • Y'all lunchin, UMass was crazy that year. Camby, with Padilla and Travieso. That big 3 was unstoppable in the A-10.

  • i remember in an interview with the clippers who had the #7 pick, they said we were 100% sure wed get camby.....then he got taken at 2!

  • Marcus Camby is just underrated.

Hes one of the best defenders and rebounders.

2007 Defensive Player of the Year.

He should be an all-star in the future.

  • overrated

  • Nothing Wrong with him.Just didnt deserve to be #2 over lots of good players.Maybe 10th overall

  • horrible pick? decent player?

    you guys are retarded

  • why? hes a decent player and hes had a good career.

  • What!!!!Camby was a beast at Umass.
