Apparently the dropping bird incident is just an urban legend. She actually DID drop a potato pancake though. She flipped the pancake in the air and instead of landing in the skillet, it landed on the table. She then picked it up and said; Remember, you're alone in the kitchen, or something like that.

Just in case anyone cares, his name is Jeffrey Alford and he and his wife, Naomi Duguid, appeared on "Baking With Julia" a number of years ago. Sadly it was before Jeffrey cut the hair and quit wearing pink. lol
