The Brazilian-born model is of mixed ethnicity. In an interview on Fashion TV she stated that she is of Swiss, African and Native American heritage. While on another interview she mentioned that she also has Japanese heritage. These clips can be seen on Youtube at the links below.

Incidentally, Brazil has a large Japanese community that has been established there since the early 1900s.

adriana looks gorgeous as ever..though i do wish the people at Vogue Spain had gone for a more high fashion look/shoot. everyone already knows adriana can look sultry and sexy. i know she's done a lot of high fashion work before she started working for Victoria Secret but it would have been refreshing for her to remind the fashion industry that she can do more than just the usual sexy shoots.
