@TeamMastaPr2 ; John wrote Day Tripper as a response to the Stones Satisfaction - he wanted a riff heavy song. So he came up with the riff.

Ticket to Ride there's some confusion over - we know Paul played and made up the Solo at the end, but not sure about the lead guitar through the song. Paul might have made it up and George played it during a 'live' take and Paul overdub his solo at the end.

Changing the subject, I think it is a testament to Paul, that he could pay his bass riff, which was mimicking the guitar riff, and sing it at the same time, as to just exactly how good a performer he is; even that young.

i have these and all outtakes on the tellow dog unsurpassed masters set them masters tapes were taked from abbey road studios in the mid 1980's during a remodel or refurbishing and yellow dog remastered them onto compact disc in early 1989 - 1990 but the remastering was messed up and it was folded down to mono so the first set i bought in 1990 was in mono now my neighbor mesed up my first 3 cds and i rebought them in 1991-92 and it says now in stereo so i thank my neighbor

The Beatles owned and used all sorts of guitars in those days. The guitar riff sounds like it is played on one of the Epiphone Casinos which Paul, George and John had acquired. But it might just as well be George's Gibson SG Standard.

Actually most of their early work was in a way forced or created under pressure; being on the road most of the time, writing songs between venues. And from what I understand, they (Paul/John in the beginning) churned out stuff anyways - I simply think that the world was lucky to experience two people who were not only able to write competent music, but simply couldn't stop doing so. Once in a blue moon such people have to bump into each other - and fortunately it happened here. :)

Take 1 - Instrumental (more like a rehershal than a take)

Take 2 - Instrumental (breaks down)

If you hear around 2:59-3:00 the rhythm guitar dissappears. There's a techincal glitch from the same studio tape, it stopped recording as the record speeds up. And on 3:42 when they reach to ''Day Tripper'' you can hear paul saying ''Yeah'' when he supossed not to do it.

Thanks to the EMI Engineers for fixing the glitch on both 2009 Mono & Stereo Remasters, but the Paul's ''yeah'' still are there xD.
