In the old version I played they couldn't die.

I recently downloaded it from a different site and they could die so I'm guessing they can she's just really lucky or the game is glitchy and laggy.

@WoWdeathvids To keep other mobs from spawning in and killing the victims, some mobs spawn directly ON the victim. if you have the limit of mobs following you, then nothing spawns.
