how the hell does Oh Dae-Su fight with that knife in his back? i know its a film, but still, its as if he doesnt notice the knife is still in his back after he gets stabed.
Those arse logs kept him locked in a room for fifteen years and he's PISSED OFF. He doesn't know fear anymore and doesn't give a shit about pain. They could have decapitated him and he'd probably still whoop a couple of them before he fell over.
So what kind of a gang doesn't have one member that just carries a gun? :P Don't get me wrong I love this movie and Ichi but Jesus, buy a piece and you won't have to worry about getting hit in the face with a hammer
surprising easy since they have numerous smuggling routes.
problem about using a gun in a small crowded area like that though is shooting your own guys. You'd think 30 armed men would be enough to take on a single guy.
This is definately one of my favorite fight scenes, it's pure brutal anything goes rather than all that kung-fu shit that not even black belts use in a street fight
The famous one-take corridor scene was shot in three days. CGI was not used to cleverly edit the sequence as one take, it was actually done in one take. The CGI used during the scene is where Oh Dae Su gets stabbed in the back with a knife AND to correct some punches landing.
this film would make a really good play- anyone agree?

Notice how unlike a Hollywood action scene this is - when punches land they hurt, and everyone gets more and more tired.

Notice how in real life, 20 guys WILL kick your ass no matter if you punched a wall for 15 years.

One has to be impressed that someone can tell the difference between real life and movies. Or video games. Full marks to you.

It's called adrenaline. In some situations you wouldn't even feel when your arm gets ripped off.

plus the determination to get his revenge seems to be pretty damn strong
drktigger 3 years ago
It is possible. In a fight you feel no pain, nad if a knife doesn´t hurt your vital organs it does rather "small" damage.

It took three days because of various screw-ups
"The corridor fight scene took seventeen takes in three days to perfect, and contrary to popular belief, it was actually just one continuous take"
