  • The hot dog gets violated

  • Official video for WWE live chats

  • The wiener has to do his tricks before he can get in the bun

  • you people are retarded why would you want these back on top of the 15 minutes of commercials we have to watch to get to the damn movie.

  • I see these all the time at the Twilight Drive-In in Aldergrove!

  • If they made these today they would have to make 40 of them.

  • @modnarandom That's alot of them to say.

  • WHERE WAS THE SHOW THEN ????

  • lol wwe.com

  • Our drive-in doesn't sell popcorn for 20.00. You get a large tub for 3.99, plus you get a free refill. We only use the premium "mushroom" kernels, & pop them in coconut oil. I also clarify, local Amish butter, to top your popcorn with if you choose. We alway have .99 cent hot dogs. They are made fresh, locally at Thompson's, in Jersey Shore, PA. We also make our own pizza dough, daily. People actually come to the Moon Drive-In to eat dinner, move than see a double feature. Thanks, Crazy Bob.

  • Hot Dog jumping in the bun, my favorite !!!!! Takes me wayyyyyyy back !!!!

  • 0:39 Oh Sandy!

  • @IanGorton Ho-ho!

  • I remember checking this while in the snack line, trying to hurry & get back to the vehicle B4 showtime. The younger generation doesn't understand how drive-ins weren't just a movie, but an experience & a family event. What I ask, could be better than being out under the stars, laying in the back of a pick-up truck, with your siblings, snuggled up in blankets, munching pop corn, waiting for it to get dark/show to star? Some drive-ins even had swing-sets & such for kids. Early arrival was fun!

  • @gjc82071 I agree and that is why I've recreated the classic drive in experience with classic 16mm and 35mm films projected from real theater projectors to a really giant screen in a private outdoor setting under the stars. I give free popcorn from a theater popcorn popper and sometimes offer drinks and bbq.

We have real drive in speakers on stands that work but use a real sound system that rivals theaters. Still, I get asked why I do it instead of a dvd! If you have to ask you don't get it.

  • @PaladinMC8 Hey, what do you have, 1 of those cool giant, home, inflatable screens I've seen? About the why not DVD comment, I get your point, although out of convenience, I am nowhere near the purist you seem to be. But I do like to splice retro commercials into era appropriate movies, for a more authentic experience. MY thing is classic gaming (Atari). Although I do have 16 real vintage/classic consoles, again, convince, I use emulators. I at least use an authentic Atari Joystick/USB.

  • @gjc82071 No, I have a giant wood screen mounted on pressure treated 4x4's cemented into the ground.

I may end up using a digital projector for some movies that I can only get on dvd or even vhs because the films are unavailable.

I also have classic video arcade machines in a garage arcade. Pacman, Asteroids, Qbert, Donkey Kong etc. I used to have a jukebox in there too but had to sell it.. That's cool that you play those old Atari games. I have an old console\games around here somewhere.

  • this is my favorite part of going to the drive-in!

the one by my house also uses this during intermission and i love it.

  • i so badly want to go to a drive in someday but i don't know where to find one... so i'll just google it! lol :D

  • The drive-in by our house still use this counting down before the trailers and movie starts, and the popcorn isn't nearly as expensive as it is in the theater.

  • why do movie snacks have to be expensive? also, i have never been to a drive in, what is it like? thanks.

  • Think of having a huge screen in your driveway and then either sit in your car or mini van or SUV and watch the movie. Cool thing is you can bring your lawn chair or whatever and even sit outside the the vehicle. They use the stereo in your vehicle to hear the movie, so if you have a killer system, score. It's just nothing like you ever experience going inside a theater. Oh and movie snack are expensive because the theater gets such a small percentage of movie profits, they have to recoop.

  • that actually sounds great, its too bad that we don't have much in the way of drive ins anymore. speaking of stereo, i miss the thx and sony dynamic digital sound trailers, why do movie theaters not have digital sound trailers? i don't care if it is loud, it was awesome when they had it. but anyways thanks for emailing me.

  • @megaben99 Well, who knows, maybe if they find a way to make supersized LCD screens that can sit outside in the elements inexpensively, it could come back. Not in the way it used to, but it could in some small way. Maybe it's best to not have it be a big boom, hate to see it oversatuated.

  • wonder if cinemas nowadays can revive these? :/

  • @yourfreebieguide

they have!! Twilight drive- in in Aldergrove still does this inbetween the movies!! :):)

  • @yourfreebieguide Wouldn't it be cool I'd LOVE to see them again! And yes, this is the very one featured in "Grease"! When Danny is singing "Oh, Sandy".

  • @yourfreebieguide they still have these in drive in drive in movie theathers

  • @yourfreebieguide Actually, Southington Drive-In in CT plays old commercials like these!

  • @yourfreebieguide valuable commercial timeslots to make as much money as a greedy company can. highly doubtful

  • @yourfreebieguide They could. But it depends since ppl today weren't born in the 50's.

  • Ahh, rampant consumerism.

  • The movies are not like they used to be.

  • I still remember cheering wildly as the hotdog jumped into the bun.

I miss drive in's. So few around. Damn you Aurora!

  • Love it ! When America was fun !

  • yeah... i wish it was like that know. :(

  • *now

  • Things were simpler and we had a lot of fun...miss those days ! :)

  • yap.

  • i like when the hot dog jumps into the bun!!

  • I can see myself singing "Sandy" form Grease sitting on that Drive-In swing.

  • At the end, when he says "On with the show," he sounds like Barack Obama.

  • Or the late great voice over actor Paul Frees.

  • Damn it does.

  • My town luckily still has a drive-in theatre from the '50s that still runs. They make sure to keep the experience intact, and still play this clip.

  • Well apparently they had ice cream at one time. I remember I got a hot dog at our local Cinemark once.. it was like at least 3.00 and it was just a normal little hotdog. Rip off.

"The show starts in __ minutes. Go to the concession stand and purchase our large popcorn for $20.00! " <--NOW THERE'S SOME TRUTH! HAHA!

  • mine uses this one the twin drive in

  • That hot dog bun part looked fimilar. Alien Ant Farm used the same Countdown Clock in there music video "Movies".

  • It's also in Grease when Danny is singing about Sandy after she slams the car door on his.....

  • Seeing this makes me want to sing the song, "Sandy", lol!

  • Would you be able to tell me were I can get this clip to download

  • These bumpers were supposed to be timed to the "ads" inbetween them, "suggesting" everything that came from the refreshment stand, to spots for local businesses, "public service announcements", tips on watching the movie a bit better (and safer), and a few other surprises....

  • Tried to email this guy, but youtube says he no longer exists...too bad.

  • How do I get the full-length version?

  • Haha, that hot dog didn't want to get in the bun.

  • lol it's always hard to force the hot dog into the bun if it doesn't have condiments on XD
