Sure, Fox went overboard with the glowing puck, but man I loved those robots as a kid. CBC did try a similar thing a few years later with a CG intermission cartoon for kids that featured robot hockey players. Anyone remember that?

if people want to see the NHL back on FOX, I suggest FOX do the following:

i) discontinue or limit use of the Foxtrax

ii) broadcast a game in primetime once in a while

I believe this was from either 1996 or 1997. When the Blackhawks were still selling out 21,000 seats. LOL!

NHL on FOX was badass. I miss it as they only had it for like four or five years. Once it went to ABC it headed downhill as far as weekend coverage.

The NHL might be on the rise in the next ten years because the sport is due after having so many years suffering.

Weekend afternoon games on FOX were badass. The NHL needs to have a weekend game or two every week during the season on a network channel. Unfortunately all we get is more golf, skateboarding and bull riding.
