@massivewad: Gen's & Rose's death wasn't really officially confirmed. It's just like believing that Heihachi was dead in Tekken 5 when there's no proof of him dying (not showing his dead body or anything of the sort).

@DDRUTOU He asks what does A-ism stand for so i replied its Alpha-ism which is the 3 Level Gauge, and i supported the fact that because for the Japanese version (Street Fighter Zero 3) its called the Z-ism which is Zero-ism, then i provided extra info for V-ism being Variable combo Gauge and X-ism for the Classic SF2 Super Turbo Gauge as you can see some minor changes in sprites if you used it

Bison's soul did jump into Rose's body AFTER he fatally wounds her at the end of A3, when Guy finds her a while after. She should be dead after Bison's soul leaves her body.

At least she was able to mortally wound Bison enough to cause him to leave his fully powered body. Thanks to Rose, Bison's SF2 form no longer has his Psychos shot, teleport, or full screen Psycho Crusher.

Somehow, the team making SFIV for Capcom put Rose, Gen, Gouken, and Bison back in even though they should be dead.

Why would Rose die after Bison's soul leaves her body. Guy says that her wounds don't appear fatal, so what would cause her to die. Her appearance in SFIV doesn't contradict anything.

By the time Guy finds her, Bison's soul has already been infused into her body, but just in a dormant state. Bison rams his hand all the way through her body, forearm deep in the original uncensored ending. That's a pretty fatal attack.

Rose only seems to be alive to Guy due to Bison's soul taking refuge in her wounded body. This explains Guy's confusion and that "sudden chill" he feels in his ending comment. Rose not being in SF2 also lends a ton of credence to her dying.

If you follow the series from A1 to A3 you can see what Capcom intended her fate to be. A3 does a good job of foreshadowing it by itself; it's pretty self explanatory.

A person who is blindly devoted to what Ohno is doing to SF "IV" is going to try justifying everything wrong with it of course. So it's ok for people to see it however they want to.

Even though you made this comment 3 months back, you were wrong on several accounts.

Gen's fate was never revealed post Alpha3. We knew he sought Akuma again and they had another fight, but Akuma had already shown he wasn't going to kill a dying man. And who's to say how long he can live with his leaukemia?

Guy says the wound didn't look fatal and she'd need medical attention immediately, you think he'd just say that and leave her? And this wouldn't be the first fictional--

Bison eeeh. If he could go to a 2nd body after his "death" in SFA3, he could again after his "death" in SFII. Gouken's the only one you have an argument for, but they handwaved it by saying "Gouken went to sleep for several years".

It means Capcom wants to bring back popular characters even if it doesn't make sense. Bison was supposed to be killed by Akuma in SF2 and that was that.

Retcons ftw. It's clearly obvious even from the planning stages of A1 up until A3 was released, that Rose was meant to be a tragic character. She was meant to suffer the same fate as Nash/Charlie, which is die at the hands of a fully powered Vega/M.Bison in A3. SF IV really does kill what little story the SF series had in the first place. I really despise the way Ono the hack approached SF IV in every aspect.

I love Rose. She's my absolute favorite female fighting game character of all time.

Rose does not have an age. It could be that she is somewhat ageless like M. Bison due to her powers, or it could be that she is simply younger and dresses to be older. Chun-Li in Street Fighter III was probably older than Rose is in her appearances. Also, Dhalsim says to her in Street Fighter Alpha 3, "Wait, young lady..."

I think that's more of an art style thing. Most of the characters haven't really aged at all despite the time lapse between the games. Sakura, for example, still looks like a high school girl wearing her school uniform into battle like that.

It's great to know that Rose is alive:) After seeing a screenshot with her in the Street Fighter IV roster, I started to hope if she is really confirmed and that it was'nt just a lie. (only time will tell) I also think that Guy should be the only "Final Fight" character to appear in Street Fighter IV, because of his role in attempting to save Rose during the aftermath from M. Bison. Maybe if Rose defeats M. Bison again, she'll probaly encounter Guy somewhere in a SFIV ending...who knows?
