  • where are the donuts at.......cause Iam hungry

  • I'd be willing to bet those pissin and moanin about a V8 being put in a Z has never owned one. I myself have had a number of Z's over the years. A handful of 240's and one 260. The funnest one was a '72 with a built 350. It was simple and fast as fuck. Outran alot of cars back in the day on the street from a dig. On the other hand I'm a purest too and loved my all original early '74 260Z. Right down to the OE hubcaps.

  • wont be catching him anytime soon. sounds great good job

  • What exhaust are you running?

  • Love the car. Going to be building one soon. Hard to find a build thread on one to help me along.

  • was a nice Z gues the quality of american made cars suck so much gota use a nissan

  • @96infinitii30 shut up crybaby you dont know what you spout.

  • @thatkidsmokin look the fat redneck talks

  • @96infinitii30 You have no clue like i said jstfu is this the highlight of your day?

  • @thatkidsmokin no rather bored of you stupidity. if you only knew

  • nice hybrid ;)

  • So I assume this puppy is putting down at least 450rwhp? I'd say it grips pretty good. Seems like the 240s aren't as strong but they don't grip this well. I really dig the hybrid Z, nicely done!

  • you know i thot that the zx turbos being less common cars ppl wouldnt perform an engine swap breaks my heart

  • love the car, currently building a 1975 280Z with a 383 stroker board 40 over. Big Muther thumper cam, doul 600 carbs in a tunnel ram. Muncie 5 speed. Should be fun in another 2 weeks.

  • This Z moves!

  • fuck yess!!!

  • So this is now a Z kit-car I guess.

  • hey man im building a 280zx with a 383 stroker and i was wondering what name brand and size guages did u use to fit in the original dash??

  • @crazymexicangirl07 Those look like AutoMeter Pro-Comps from here.

  • seen one of these selling for 1500 really good price

  • @Dsainte160 hey i could have one, for 1500, that was imported from califonia (im in canada) , never saw winter, and is about a 3 hour drive from where i am.. what do you think? should i go for it?

  • @jojomoor yea

  • oh, a datsun 600Z, very nice! I bet that things must turn heads

  • i guess all the l24 will be history soon, lol. im holding on to mine, get your own

  • it passed!!!

  • Nice car, I have a pretty nice z also, check it out at my channel.

  • Datsun 280Z + LS2 = No Traction

  • sweetass v8

  • what exhaust do u have on it?

  • Swapping the original L6 from nissan is like taking Abraham Lincoln out of the memorial. It's just not special anymore.

  • That is NOT a datsun 280Z that is a Datsun 240Z!!!!

  • @coolboy7979 They look the same... 240z has the largest air dam, 260z and 280z had their air dams reduced to create less drag.

ZX are more slender and lack many original curves, but they gained less drag and more stability, taking corners much harder than the original Z. Ontop of that is the near 50/50 weight distribution, making it more formidable than its father 240z.

  • Oh.. and a lower center of gravity. The ZX may not be the original, but it is a worthy predecessor to the 240Z.

Besides, the ZX just looks better. It has a more sleek fastback. Giving it a more long and sleek look.

  • i hate chevy motors

  • can i test drive it, please?

  • granny shiftin mofo puss

  • nice double clutching

  • Are there any videos on here of stick cars where they don't take ten fucking seconds to shift each gear? Ronnie Sox here needs to just go with an automatic.

  • goddamn that sounds nice!!

  • im a ford power-plant man myself, but it sounds killer inside!!!

    good job!

  • how do you convert it to that motor

  • my gramps use 2 have one but now he has the 96 camaro

  • it's simply amazing, the sound is music for my fucked ears

  • Quick ass car. We have one we're building, but we're usin an SR20DET

  • never mind about the tuning

  • or the speedo only going to 90, and its also not a zx.

  • I saw the speedo only goes up to 90 mph. What is the 0-60 time? what is the real top speed if 90 isnt. did you tune that 280zx?

  • goddamn shes beautiful

  • wow thats quick...do you know what she will do in the 1/4?

  • high tens...with bolt ons.

  • @77ZETA bro are you kidding me! Morgan hill, CA! how in the hell is it i have never seen this car around!?

  • @77ZETA where did you get the instrument guages, been looking for 'em and i cant seem to find them

  • Show that road whose boss! WOOHOO!

  • how much was the LS2 engine that you put into this Z?

  • yet another "former Z"

  • @jimP71 Exactly! Why don't people just leave the standard straight six in there?

  • @pacman599 Because the old straight six is good for about 250 HP tops on just standard upgrades. Past that you're going in to heavy duty and expensive custom work. Plus do you have any idea how hard it is to find parts for a 32+ year old Japanese engine.

  • @superjump01 Dude are you stupid?? Good for 250hp tops???? Have you ever seen turbo280z channel?? He has stock motor with a gt35r turbo, methanol injection, and he is making 380 hp on a stock motor with stock internals...

  • @mikeyg44067 Wow! How Ironic is this. #1 LEAR TO READ AN ENTIRE SENTENCE IN CONTEXT. Excerpt #1 - "good for about 250 HP tops on just STANDARD UPGRADES" Quote "stock motor with a gt35r turbo, methanol injection" GT35R Turbo though lower level is a pretty serious hunk of hardware. The Turbo ALONE at an average of $1400 Is worth more than the entire L28. This of course doesn't account for the custom work he would have put into the down pipe and exhaust manifold

  • @mikeyg44067 (Continued) Further more only 3 model years of L28's even came with turbo's as an option, Meaning that 10 straight years were NA Making a turbo upgrade a MAJOR Undertaking. Moving Methanol Injection is FAR From a standard Upgrade, It is almost Exclusively used on Drag and Race cars that require Major upgrades in the cylinder head to achieve a high enough compression ratio to even Use the High Octane Methanol Race gas.

  • @mikeyg44067 (Continued) So again THINK Before you post. Just Because he didn't modify the internals on the short block doesn't mean he didn't do Some Serious And Expensive Upgrades the the rest of the engine. An engine is way more than a Crank, piston's, and rods. If the internals were incapable of reliably holding less than 300 or so horsepower than the L28's would have been notorious for failing prematurely. Fact of the matter most car builder build engines with strong internals.

  • @superjump01 @superjump01 Dude are you stupid?? Good for 250hp tops???? Have you ever seen turbo280z channel?? He has stock motor with a gt35r turbo, methanol injection, and he is making 380 hp on a stock motor with stock internals....

  • All I can say is....

I gotta get me one of these!

  • oh god that is sexy

  • How well is the rear end holding up? I smoked mine with the stock 2.8...

  • I have converted to a r200 from an infiniti q45. its a v.l.s.d. and I also have cv´s instead of u-joints.

    so its holding good..

  • @77ZETA just starting on mine but what mods did you have to make to car and the infiniti rear

  • very very quick, good job. What rear end are you running? Stock 200? I have a 289 hipo in mine

  • Love the color, obviously very fast too.

  • i am more of a ford power guy,

but hats off to you for completing the swap.

and chevy or not, it sounds and looks great!

    5/5

  • Ford doesn't have quite a "power for the money" engine as the LS line is. Then again, Ford has always been a bit more expensive since the aftermarket following isn't quite as big.

  • yo sick guages where did u get thm frm and r thy compatible with the 280zxt 1982?

  • Autometer Gauges. His specifically are Autometer Pro-Comp

  • how much?

  • I came.

  • lol

  • haters suck cocks .. datsun z rocks !! :~)

  • @bobbitt187

    i'll 2nd that!

  • very nice

  • sick as hell

  • That was soooooo sick!

  • If by ruin you mean transform into a total BAD ASS 11 second car, then ya he ruined it. The 280z was designed ruined when they placed in the anemic underpowered L28 engine in it and the weak rear differential. AS reliable as the L28 is it's horribly underpowered and a bith to modify considering performance parts practically don't exist for it.

  • Why do you think he ruined it?

it has a better power plant than the L28, is more reliable, much more hp, better torque and interms of weight the Ls and L28 are about the same weight.

    how did he ruin it?

and FYI 240Z, 280Z, 260Z are all the same chasss, and basically the same cars.

  • meant to say 5000

  • Just POWER!!!

  • man nothing like the sound of a V8

  • torque baby...whooo!

  • sa c un 280zx que jvoudrait !!! verryyyyyy niiiiccceeeeeeeeee car !!!

  • Forget the Prius, this is what a hybrid should be!

  • lol @ prius

  • 05 Pontiac GTO is really an aussie monaro so thats aussie engine for everyone out there and it would prob be cheaper over here, check out toranas classic aussie muscle

  • The LS2 is just a variant of the LS1. The Monaro is indeed Australian, but the engine is American.

  • nope

  • Ah yes! Ls engine have been launched in corvettes since 1997. ALL LS engines Are of american design. Whatever littile tweaks or littile bits of added tech were made for the holden, the engine itself is of american design and spec

  • thats absaloute crap then that means the aussie holden isnt aussie and its all bullshit

  • The car itself is Aussie but the engine is American. The blcoks and heads themselves are even cast in the states.

  • The LS2 which is used in the Aussie Holden was first launched in a Corvette. Sorry, but the truth hurts.

  • i bet ya wrong holdens have been out longer than corvettes

  • Ok let me be more specific. The LS2 ENGINE that is used in holden V8's is an AMERICAN engine. Yes I know Holdens have existed for a long time, Since the late 1930's. But LS engines have always been launched in Corvettes and then later appropriated for or to other vehicles. And let's not forget that Holden is a GM subsidiary but Corvettes have existed since the 50's and the LS engine family was designed and built in America in 1997 and U.S. cars are always the first to utilize any LS engine.

  • keep ya pants on my mate ses its in the car info so dont get to excited u wer correct

  • cant believe you suck at info that much dudemate, I own a 04 GTO and love the thing. did a complete Monaro appearance conversion. But your comment made me laugh so hard.

    LSx= american

  • im not exacly a friggin car speacilist or a massive monaro fan, the new monaros look like crap old school all the way hq gts but i wouldnt get on im after a Torana lx slr500 my dream car

  • nice shifting lol

  • mmmm that sounds and looks very nice

  • fast mother fucker

  • do you need that engine to make it sound like that?

    or what kind of muffler?

  • ya a ls2 v8 tends to sound difrent to a L28 strait six....mine has flowmaster though so it sounds kinda like that =D

  • thats an odd exhaust for an LS1 motor

  • How much have u spended on ur car...???

And how much was that engine...???

  • You can get an ls1 with 6 speed off Ebay for 3 grand if your lucky.

  • If any of you live in the dallas area i have a 1976 280z that i might sell...message me for more information

  • holy fucking torque
