I'd say at best in this district that consists of La Marque, Texas City and Friendswood that Dawson is more likely to be a contender more than a "huge threat" fella. Ok, I stand corrected. I have only seen the small clip shown here, but they were pretty good. I'm currently in west texas now. I live in Odessa and all I see is Permian Panthers around here and believe me I'm not impressed at all by their skill or talent. they wouldnt las in 24-4A

Yes, it was a good game between two rather young and inexperienced teams no doubt. The playoffs are still a toss-up with 5 teams out of 8 tied for 2nd. If we win our last 2 out of 3 games we're in like flynn also. This is a rebuilding year for us so we don't anticipate going further than 1 or 2 deep into the playoffs though unless we catch fire?
dawson has no seniors...they're whole team is coming back next year. Dawson will win 24-4A district championship next year. And will be a Deep Playoff Team no doubt.
OK new guy on the block, we'll have to wait and see as it's easy to say you're gonna do something on the field however here at La Marque we don't just talk the talk...we walk the walk! 9 State Championship appearances with 5 state championships don't just fall in your lap. You have to work hard for them and as far as District Championships go, that is just a formality for us to achieve as our goal every year is to win state titles not just district titles. Good luck though!
Fluke? The winner was determined on who made the plays at the right time and who didn't and it just so happened La Marque did what it needed to in order to win. You'll have to wait until next year to get another shot at the Coogs and your chances of victory lesson as the Cougars will only gain more experience. Our QB & starting running back are both freshmen and we have 3-4 other players who start that are only sophomores so I'd say our chances next go round are even better?

I'm very pleased with the Dawson Team! I played for Brook back in the 90's and I see Dawson becoming a huge threat in this district.
