@calripken8rocks that interview was taken before the decision was made to trim down the drop. people were blacking out each and every time on the drop.

I was on THE very first train open to the public, and had over 50 rides on it, and can honestly say that the trims prolong the blackouts because you are going through those G's for a longer time.

I can also say that the trims were not added to help the blackouts, they were added to lengthen the life of the wheels. Hopefully once the the correct compound is found so they don't MELT, then they will remove the trims.
