  • Good rare post!!!!!!

  • Laaard! this is the first time I ever see Scotty in a concert - wicked!!

  • sorry didn't really read hultonclints post all through. There is some best of... albums with scotty that is still in print (i hope)as hultonclint wrote he recorded his best work for Derrick Harriott and he's acctually one of the first dj's that started the genre raggamuffin but with less or no big succsess.

This is indeed a big tune

  • That is clearly Scotty, the song is called "draw your brakes" and is a dj version on Keith & Tex hit single Stop that train. This can be heard on the classic soundtrack from the movie "the Harder they come" starring Jimmy Cliff. One of the biggest reasons Reggae traveld outside of Jamaica in the first place.

  • whaa great upload

  • Good, rare addition to the archive!

I'm assuming this is the DJ, "Scotty," doing his version called "Draw Your Brakes"-- no doubt that shot to fame from the Harder They Come soundtrack (circa 1973). I don't know how much he actually did (?) -- I have only a few tracks by him on Derrick Harriott's label. I'd guess this was from some revival show around late 80s/ early 90s?

  • not too sure if it's scotty or not? i presumed it was Keith+Tex but wasn't sure but it sure sounds like the original guys especially the guy toasting.

  • i love this tune
