Kingpin is lucky that the Scorpion is such a nice guy, or else his supervillain team would be called the "Fearsome Five" instead of the "Sinister Six".

i honestly got annoyed by kingpin around this point. he just keeps popping up in like almost every single episode. when i was younger i honestly thought he was one of spiderman's big enemies, but he is really daredevil's and yet he is there battling spiderman almost all the time.

There was a period in the 1980s when the Kingpin was a regular background presence in the comics and I think the animated series was trying to use this as a way to reduce the level of coincidence. But yeah it got very overblown.
