Ya know, I followed your instructions to a tee in Windows 7 - 32 bit last year and it worked... But for some reason in Windows 7 - 64 bit with same Windows Live Mail 2011, it's not working... I'm trying to insert a sig in my email to a animal rescue site to click on to feed the animals .6 bowls of food per click... HELP
Great Video, the only Negative about this tutorial is that it sends emails with images in the signature as an attachment to the recipient. Which can get really annoying to everyone wondering why you are always emailing them an attachment email. It also flags into some mail exchange programs as junk mail for this reason.
The way around this is to upload your images onto photobucket, and create a pathway with the direct link to PB instead of a folder on your HDD works great!
Thanks for the video on signatures... It's a shame to even have to research through a video the simple task of creating a signature in Windows Live Mail. Ridiculous. Thank you.
I got it to work. First time I aslo had the red box, but I found out my user name had a space in it. corrected that and it worked like a charm - thanks for posting
What is the best -reliable resource for lay people to find out how to fix issues with their computer and to learn about microsoft windows home preimium 7 -I don't want to have to pay $70 just to fix simple faults or at least try to find out causes. Its a nightmare to know if you have a site where the info is accurate, there are loads of people who think they know what they are doing:(
I was able to get it to work like you do but noticed that the image ALWAYS defaults to having a lower/right shadow!?@#!!! Is there any way to get it to default to not have the stupid shadow border?
I can´t get it to work :( , I used the backslashes in the right way, I did everything in the exact same way, and the picture stay a little red cross :( .
I restarted Windows Live mail. I saved the notebook text as a HTM. I directed to the right file, i ticked all the boxes, man, this is frustrating... Can somebody help?
THANK YOU SOOOOOOOO MUCH FOR POSTING THIS!!! I was so very frustrated after having tried a million ways to upload my email signature with NO success!! I tried to follow other video postings and they were not helpful AT ALL to me. Yours is by far the easiest to understand and duplicate than anything else on YouTube!! Please keep doing what you're doing! I couldn't have done this without your video turtorial!
Without breaking a sweat I could give hundreds of examples about clueless, *UTTERLY* anti-productive, INEXCUSABLE Microsoft interface fails. They're the Federal Government of tech. (And I'll be honest; one time per hundred I see their point and retract)
It's shocking how many clueless civilians accept the MSM depiction of Microsoft as technically brilliant. No, they are idiots. Thoroughly. And how many jokes have you heard that include "Gates" and "smartest person in the world" ?! Incredible.
that's awesome dude, thanks for you help!

for the ones that are having problems with the default drop shadow in the image, here is the solution:
1.Create a new email.
2.Select the image
3.Select the non format to get rid of the drop shadow.
4.Look for the "Set to default" button in the toolbar (right side). Click it.
It should now be stored the next time you create a new message. Please thumb up this for everyone to see.
